Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

Taric getting a new skin? This isn't possible!

We are working on a real skin for Taric. A real skin that's not goofy or silly It won't be Legendary (because there's still a lot of characters due for a Legendary), but Taric's probably in the worst shape for need of a quality skin.

It's a few patches out (these things have their own art iteration times and such too), but we're going to do it.

Played a game with Nalek and Spiegelmann. Admittedly, Nalek fed, which kinda cost us the game, but hey, he was level 5 against level 20s. Speiegelman got fed so bad, he was like 25 kills at the end (he played as Kayle). I tried my best to tank, but there wasn't much I could do =P.

Dam got trolled, enemy team carried by a Garen with a Leviathan, 3 warmogs, swift boots and atma's, he never got full stacks but still.... They also had a really annoying poppy...
My team suffered from bad comp (Me as Kayle, Swain, AP Ez, Irelia and Udyr) but all our scores suck anyway (I got 5/8/14, only positive was Ez with 10/6/12 and worst was 3/11/11 swain, most deaths 8/14/12 Irelia.)

If I manage to get on at a time when you guys can play... I wanna try the 5 tanks all fortify

Rumble gets grabbed by enemy Blitzcrank from baron, and the whole enemy team blows all they have on him, they noticed a little late that Kayle (me) Had ulted him so they did no damage, meanwhile we killed baron and proceeded to kill everyone but Nasus who ran away, and cleared mid along with both nexus towers.

Did another game as Ashe, but most of my arrows were either failures or in reaction to other enemies trying to kill me. Oh well. I'll see what I can dig up in my replays.

Another fun set-up is all/mostly healers.

This was only a 3-man premade from a few weeks ago, but Sona joined in on the fun at least. Kinda nice to have Caitlyn dishing out DPS since we could keep her alive all day long. We pushed like Mack trucks.

I don't really like akali, but this was fun.

We were going to lose this one. Our Vlad kept on dcing, and their Cait was being a bastard and backdoored all of the time. However, once we grabbed baron (they tried to take it, but someone and me wouldn't let them =P) we just dominated in teamfights (3 squishies on their team? Ha ha). Even though it was sorta mean I kinda trolled them about that 3 squishies fact, and boy, were they mad.

Couple of great games with my RL friends today.

 First game

I decided to go jungle Amumu, and against me was a jungle Udyr. I was initially worried because the entire enemy team had lots of Flashes. That makes any gank attempt hard at first.

I made the enemy Ashe blow her Flash, then I moved to top to relieve my friend who was being besieged by two enemies. Fast forward, mid game, I was hiding in the river bushes near mid when I saw the enemy Ashe pass by. I stun her, and give chase. What was really sad was that I popped my ult, but she Flashed away a split second before my ult was casted. Just when we thought the Ashe got away with 100 HP, my friend - on Ezreal - used his ultimate to secure the kill.

Our Lee Sin did very well, seemingly being the invincible blind monk he was. Me and the team countered Udyr very hard, notably catching him out in the open when he least expected it (to be honest, that Udyr sucked a lot). At one of the early teamfights in mid, I did my role as tanking. I popped my ultimate, and I got nailed very hard. I got one kill, my team got the others, and I managed to hold on enough to be sure my team would clean up the rest of the opponents. I Flashed out with less than 100 HP. It was scary.

The enemy eventually surrendered.

 Singed too good!

"Singed too good!" and "Singed is a huge cockblocker and a massive troll!" is pretty much what summed this up. I went with one of my friends to bottom for duo lane, and we were against a Yorick and a Nocturne. Though it wasn't a problem since I used my Q on minion waves whenever I could, which let us farm a bit. Then a small fight breaks out at bottom, I get hit a lot, so I retreated, with my poison on. Long story short, my laning partner gets first blood.

Later on, while ganks and teamfights break out at top lane and mid lane, I forced Yorick to tower hug while I farmed like mad. Then I moved up to mid, then teamfight breaks out. I do my job, using my Mega Adhesive to slow targeted people down, and Flinging anyone that was killable to my teammates. I had my poison on, and kited around. They focused me, as expected, and I died. My poison claimed 3 victims post-death. Triple kill!

Long story short, I netted a lot of kills due to my poison and CC, and the other team tried to avoid attacking me at all. I was cockblocking very hard, and doing a lot of trolling. They saw what happened during the first big teamfight at mid, and they were trying to avoid a repeat episode.

They eventually surrendered.

What was funny was that my laning partner was complaining I was getting too aggressive. I was like uh...that's what you're supposed to do as Singed. Bait them to attack me, then catch them out of position when they least expect it.

And my Corki friend was complaining how I was KSing many kills away from him due to poison. I think I cockblocked/trolled too hard.

I've noticed this as well when I play kayle.... I've yet to actually get mad at my losses with her, whereas I get mad if I pick some high tier character. I guess it's because I have high expectations of using a "good" character and expect less from a kayle game. But anyway, picking kayle almost every game regardless of team comp sure as hell is working out better for me than compensating for the instalockers I get so often.

OH. MY. GOD. I love Amumu.

Amumu's one of the best tanks in LoL, hands down. If you want to know how to play him properly, I can teach you. I play the little mummy every time my team needs a tank. In other words: I frequently use him.

Atm I'm working on an Amumu guide. But it contains advanced gameplay techniques with Amumu and covers advanced gameplay mechanics, notably how to jungle with him (at this moment, you're still in the beginning learning stages). You can still read it once I post it up, you might pick something up from it.

Still working on my Singed play.

I'm sorry to the people that have been inviting me tonight. I logged in then had to afk pretty much the whole night
dealing with my son. He is only 3 and sometimes will literally "carry" an entire day lol.

On a different note I'll be replacing derosis for the OAT team, need to know who wanted to help out there. The tourney starts
on July 29th if you aren't sure if you can make it.
