TF2 Thread, now featuring HALLOWEEN!

I keep seeing a lot of spies trying to charge at me head on and stab at me, but they catch a stream of bullets or a rocket to the face. Also Medics that are trying to rush at me with a needle gun. it's okay... they'll get the hang of playing.

I only do dis if I'm alone and about to die. Does that make me bad?

Got a lot better with spy today. A lot more patient. Item servers are down for me though so I can't use my dead ringer :\

What do you guys think is better? Dead ringer or cloak and dagger?

Dead ringer is better than camp and dagger by far.

Although the default watch is much, much, better than both.

Because the wisdom of more experienced players is a bad thing? I see nothing with being told/warned X class is very hard to play. It'll save me the headache of wondering why I'm so bad with a class.

If you were being sarcastic, I think the benefits of the default outweigh the Ringer and C&D. C&D is useful for defense, though.

The Demoman is pure epicness. Being able to set up sticky bombs (which I'm totally under-utilizing right now, well aware of that << as well as launching grenades off walls to go around corners and kill people...ah, such satisfaction.

I'm having horrible lag spikes though which makes playing anything really...sucky. I was pinging ~70 earlier today; trying to find ways to improve it. It makes the game pretty much unplayable when I'm sitting with a spike.

a lot of the time sticky traps only work when they're trying to quick cap. personally i rarely set up sticky traps, but that's mostly because i play demo as a frag class instead of a blow-shit-up class (i frag with the normal launcher from close range, single/double sticky from long range)

Try using the normal watch for a little while again. Much longer cloak time + ability to pick up supplies and stay cloaked = Much better overall. Cloak and dagger doesn't let you recover the cloak if you pick up supplies and it doesn't last very long (albeit, longer than the Dead Ringer...).

I frequent a server that only allows ammo to be replenished in the spawn points, so the default Invis Watch is extremely hard to use there. I also like the Cloak and Dagger simply because I'm almost always using the Eternal Reward, which is a lot harder to use when I can't camp in a corner or on top of some crates.

If you're alone and enemies are moving in:

If you have an escape route, backpedal while spraying darts
If you're surrounded, go out guns a-blazing.

Pick up ammo boxes when cloaked every once in a while.

Ugh I want a new gun and drink as scout.... mostly the drink. Minicrit one takes too long to consume for such a short duration
