Something wierd with the manual patcher

I made manual patcher and it show me massage with Eror 153. I know it patch time, but it not need to show up... Does nexon have bug?

But yea, my GG was missing a file after using Fiel's pre patcher, but I had a back up so it isn't a problem for me at all.

My gamegard went bellyup after i prepatched with error 153 also.

i just deleted the entire maple folder , restored the v0.60 backup and im going to wait for the official patcher.

Edit: i just tested something, i turned of all my pc security programs ( believe me i have allot), patched the game and same error, so the problem is not the security programs that i have installed.

im guessing the problem is gameguard itself ?

I have backup i copyed my folder... but i have no GG folder in my backup...

it does, just delete gameguard folder, it will redownload GG when you start maple

Yeah, it's surely something wrong with the pre-patcher.. why? Because if I replace the new pre-patched files with the backup of the v.0.60 MapleStory, it doesn't give the error it gives with v.0.61 pre-patched files. AND I DON'T REPLACE GAMEGUARD's FOLDER. This means it's the same folder for both, but it just works with 0.60 and not with pre-patched 0.61. There must be something wrong with the pre-patcher or the new patch files themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened with the official patcher.

i noticed 1 file is missing in new install, Gameguard.des just copy from version 0.60 folder to 0.61 and GG work again ^^

i did it, and i'm still getting the error 153 after using fiel's pre-patcher

EDIT: just compared my 2 GG folder(backup and the one patched) all have same file.

well what i always do, copy previous folder to a new and patch the new folder with fiel prepatcher, i tried 4 times, and is always patching without Gameguard.des, so i just copy from old folder and is working fine.

note: is Gameguard.des from outside of gg folder not inside.... xD

Again, I wouldn't be surprised if this was implemented in the official patch. It'd be funny to see many people being like "wtp?" when they tried to enter in the game after patching. Many people would be pissed.. I hope they will fix it. :f6:

Except this time people are checking for FTP updates so a patch change will actually be noticed beforehand.

If there are several versions of the same patch put on the FTP, remember that I specialize in finding differences between patches! I can figure out what they decided to change (no matter how minute, even one little variable). The more patch files get posted the better!

And mine patched WITH the file in there...

I'm confused, I just patched, and its giving me error 153, I've got the gameguard.des thing in its folder and its not working.
