Tespia v.99 Thread
Alilatias Wrote:Did Tespia just crash for anyone else? Both channels 4 and 8 looked very unstable during the past few minutes.

EDIT: Now I can't get back in. It won't even boot up, and it's telling me the usual sever check or firewall stuff.

That's a weird one. Probably a remnant of the stuff that happened last month.

Yes, Tespia also got the event stuff made untradeable, but never got made tradeable again. My Pally had a Pyrope weapon and it was still UT as well.

A lot of the bugs present in tespia could easily be from the availability of content that isn't even coming out on the 29th. Making them unavailable may very well fix some bugs, and what is left is fixing the ones that are still there. Most of the bugs were from content that won't be out, aka the 29th patch has no reported bugs so far.

Constant channel crashing made it the least fun experience.
i never crashed, but then again, i always logged on ch8 (even on GMS) so that's probably why

as much as i'd like to believe this is the reason, i'd have to say...

Oh well, I submitted ~10 bug reports. Hopefully they fix the severe ones..

Do they test the fixes on Tespia as well or do they have another server for this? Because otherwise it would have been benefitial to keep it open while they fix these bugs, so people could keep testing/reporting while they worked on the first reports.

Or they just take it down because they have enough data and will put it back up again when the 29th patch is done. (where more bugs are fixed)

I think we can all agree that if this is the only testing done for chaos then we'll be disappointed, rather than discussing why they took it down at all.

Only time that I ever got into testpia only to be locked out of it a day later. hope this doesn't happen if they let us test jump.

That's only because Arans, Evans and Dual Blades couldn't really be tested due to the fact that they couldn't receive skill/mastery books at all from Cody.

I think my comment went over your head. If you have one hundred players playing tespia, where only 1/5 of them are reporting, why bother keeping it up? There's more content abusers then there are reporters, which doesn't help them and wastes everyones time.

Also, I found an interesting NPC in Ereve:

You have to factor the fact that only 2 channels were up the whole entire time. The others crashed and those logged on it didn't get a chance to log in. That also impacted the amount of reports given.

Doesn't that only support the fact the server was pretty useless and they thought it wasn't worth keeping up?

Yup.
I'm not against them taking them down. 90% of people couldn't even play anyway. It was like musical chairs to find a channel.

You don't like musical chairs? There's obviously something wrong with you.

They could be fixing the issue of only 2 channels working? I don't know, wishful thinking :/

In the Crossroads they have a fast respawn, I've had stuff reappear as I mined the previous (unfortunately it tends to turn into herb/ore randomly, so I wear out the map fast only having the one).

Didn't notice this earlier in the thread. I didn't think to check the Phantom Forest. So they went through and actually placed veins/herbs in the NLC areas? That's... Interesting. Although I should have figured that they would have done more than just throw up a portal to Ardentville in NLC and just leave it at that.

Did any other World Tour-style areas recieve the same kind of treatment? I was planning to haul arse over to Malaysia/Singapore to check for Ardentville portals for the MSEAers, but never got around to doing that.

Aran's skills were very glitchy. Once you have a combo none of the button combinations on the side actually match up to the correct skill. It also didn't help that the skill descriptions aren't displaying the arrow keys correctly and they are being showed as '?'. I spent forever just trying to find out how to do Final Toss.

My keys in the skill description for Combo Judgement were correct if I recall correctly. Other than the text, the skills executed correctly.

Yes, this is true. I tested Aran and the only bug i reported was that Sudden strike affect the skill combinations for ToSS and Charge before you put a single point on it (it changes the hotkey combinations but don't let you spam it), nothing more actually.
