should I get decent SE on my wind archer?(It's my main by the way) is it really good?

For the last question, you can. You just can't wear the old Resistance Ring with the new Resistance Lux Ring, or anything like that.

I'm almost 160 on my bm and I was wondering if hunting dews for wind pierce is worth it. Are the drop rates getting changed for Chaos?

Supposedly the drop rates are improved a bit, but I would have to say that the skill isn't worth getting unless you have a lot of time that needs wasting. It has very little use to anyone in fourth job, but it's still a fun "showoff skill."

And that's where we disagree. Splash mechanics vs pierce mechanics have wildly different pros and cons. With damage and target count increased pierce is vastly superior in situations where mobs are too far apart for inferno to hit enough targets to out damage WP, on top of archers not being able to rush.

The skill is definitely worth getting, the question is how easy that actually is. He wants testimonials that the drop rates are increased; something a tespian probably can't even give because that would be misleading due to enhanced drop rates.

I don't have it, but as a 188 BM I haven't seen a need or want for it. Waste of time imo. You're 160, you still get really quick and good xp at lhc. Spend the time you would've been hunting for dews instead at lhc.

Which is where the splash v pierce comes in, because a lot of the time at LHC he ends up infernoing a mob where the closest one is still far away enough from the rest of the mob so he infernos 2 or 3 out of the 5 or 6 he could be hitting with pierce in that situation.

Won't be any better at future ereve either since it's all flat and extremely mobby. Plus there's no elemental advantage there.

He's waiting for future ereve/increased drop rate on these things if they're more worth it.

I could be usefull after the Jump patch, since Bowmasters lose Dragon Breath, our only piercing-like skill.

Ultimate inferno is stronger than wind piercing anyway. Same damage after a tick of DoT and it's a LOT faster, plus elemental advantage. Only reason not to use it is if you reach the situation i explained above.

Hmm ok, so either get it or don't as it seems it can be useful, but isn't necessary. Guess I'll be waiting for Chaos to see if the drop rates are affected. Thanks all.

Hi guys, do you think the Timeless Engaw is still viable as an end-game weapon? I haven't taken a look at the Lv130/140 stuff so I don't know how big the difference is, and I'm considering making a Timeless Engaw in a month or so (the Time Rocks cost about 200m now).

At this point, which chaos literally just over 11 hours away, I'd recommend just chilling on your end game bow and actually on all your end game gear if you're considering the 130/140 stuff as we really don't know enough about it. Drop rate, ease of making/obtaining recipes, how pvp is working.

From my stance, I wouldn't make a timeless engaw for myself. I would personally go for the 140 bow and just save up and wait for it to become more affordable, which would be like 3-4 months. After 3-4 months though, I expect bow prices to start really inflating as we'll be getting close to Jump, and the bowmaster bandwagon should kick into high gear.

All 140 weps have a req. of 170 in the respective classes secondary stat, right?
