LulzSec and Anonymous team up for Operation AntiSec.
#1
http://www.abc.net.au/technology/article...248520.htm

Quote:After a brief spat where the notorious Anonymous hacking collective sniped at Lulzsec, the 'upstart' hacking collective, for crowing about low-rent Denial of Service attacks on the CIA and 4chan websites, the two groups have apparently teamed up.

A release from Lulzsec, which is reprinted below, announces Operation Antisec. This new operation asks people to hack government information and deface internet enemies with the word Antisec. The group also asks for support for several hacktivist websites.

The group says, "Top priority is to steal and leak any classified government information, including email spools and documentation. Prime targets are banks and other high-ranking establishments."

It remains to be seen how successful the forthcoming operation will be. However, even with advance warning, recent history suggests that there will be no shortage of targets with gaping security holes.

The Twitter hastag #antisec shows that the news is going globally viral.

ABC Technology and Games reminds people, organisations and companies to be vigilant while the apparent forthcoming attacks take place.

Anonymous representatives were being sought for confirmation of the collaboration.

The following is Lulzsec's press release, unedited:-

Salutations Lulz Lizards,

1.
2. As we're aware, the government and whitehat security terrorists across the world continue to dominate and control our Internet ocean. Sitting pretty on cargo bays full of corrupt booty, they think it's acceptable to condition and enslave all vessels in sight. Our Lulz Lizard battle fleet is now declaring immediate and unremitting war on the freedom-snatching moderators of 2011.
3.
4. Welcome to Operation Anti-Security (#AntiSec) - we encourage any vessel, large or small, to open fire on any government or agency that crosses their path. We fully endorse the flaunting of the word "AntiSec" on any government website defacement or physical graffiti art. We encourage you to spread the word of AntiSec far and wide, for it will be remembered. To increase efforts, we are now teaming up with the Anonymous collective and all affiliated battleships.
5.
6. Whether you're sailing with us or against us, whether you hold past grudges or a burning desire to sink our lone ship, we invite you to join the rebellion. Together we can defend ourselves so that our privacy is not overrun by profiteering gluttons. Your hat can be white, gray or black, your skin and race are not important. If you're aware of the corruption, expose it now, in the name of Anti-Security.
7.
8.Top priority is to steal and leak any classified government information, including email spools and documentation. Prime targets are banks and other high-ranking establishments. If they try to censor our progress, we will obliterate the censor with cannonfire anointed with lizard blood.
9.
10. It's now or never. Come aboard, we're expecting you...
11.
12. History begins today.
13.
14. Lulz Security,
-snip-

Edited out the last part of the press release because it's blatant advertising. >_>

How is this BS going to help the common people?!? People will still be in debit, hooked on drugs, etc

So what if they leak information about the government? What can we the people do? Not vote for the next president to smite them?

They are trying to form a riot or some sort with this BS.

Another thing i thought of. Do they really think the government will keep ALL their top classified information on the internet? For all they know it could be in a crate or burned.

You and me both brother.

None the less, government is going to crack down harder then they did on Iraq, simply because there's no real rules against cyber criminals, besides when we catch them, we don't do anything inhumane.

The FBI is hitting these guys hard. Most of their tweets talk about some members leaking their logs to the fbi.

Quote:LulzSec had vowed to expose secret government documents, saying that the dump was set to Friday. As far as “Western” societies are concerned, Friday isn’t for another several hours. Still, that hasn’t stopped LulzSec from dumping the classified documents now.

Yesterday, we reported on LulzSec saying that they will dump classified documents. The contents of the first dump was, up to now, completely unknown. Now, we know exactly what they released.

According to LulzSec’s posting on The Pirate Bay, the document dump consists of secret documents for Arizona’s police department. From the release notes:

We are releasing hundreds of private intelligence bulletins, training manuals, personal email correspondence, names, phone numbers, addresses and passwords belonging to Arizona law enforcement. We are targeting AZDPS specifically because we are against SB1070 and the racial profiling anti-immigrant police state that is Arizona.

The documents classified as “law enforcement sensitive”, “not for public distribution”, and “for official use only” are primarily related to border patrol and counter-terrorism operations and describe the use of informants to infiltrate various gangs, cartels, motorcycle clubs, Nazi groups, and protest movements.

Every week we plan on releasing more classified documents and embarassing personal details of military and law enforcement in an effort not just to reveal their racist and corrupt nature but to purposefully sabotage their efforts to terrorize communities fighting an unjust “war on drugs”.

Hackers of the world are uniting and taking direct action against our common oppressors – the government, corporations, police, and militaries of the world.

See you again real soon! ;D

The file is 446.6 MB, so it’s no small file dump either when it comes to secret material. The question, at this point, becomes, what are the specifics of this content anyway? It is very likely going to require a certain amount of crowdsourcing to figure out for those who are gutsy enough to download the file.

What this release does do, though, is say that when LulzSec says they are going to release something, they can be trusted to do so. On the surface, this does seem quite significant.

They do realize that no matter how "righteous" they think they are they're ruining their lives right? Regardless of whether or not the Arizona police force is racist, the government can do a lot worse to them.

The worst the government can do is execution. I doubt they're worried about that, much less being caught by "idiots" who can't code to defend themselves much less track them all down.
