Question - In OoT 3D, are you able to use the joy stick to move the camera around, or do you have to use the gyro scope to move the camera? If it's the latter, Bongo Bongo is going to be extremely interesting. I'm assuming it's both, but I just want to make sure.
Also, are you still able to do the spin attack easily by rotating the joy stick and pressing B? I haven't seen people do that in previews of the game I've watched, so it kind of leads me to believe you can't.

They give you the option to have the gyroscope turned on or off. You can still move the camera around with the joystick though.
This is my second Zelda game to paly (after Phantom Hourglass) and I can see why it's been rated as one of the best games made.
I'm about 12 hours in, but only up to getting some song off Sheik in some fire place thing. I've only gotten one very mild headache whilst playing it and it was after sitting and playing it for a good few hours. I just can't put it down.
I think the 3D works very well (except with aiming, but I used to turn off the 3D for that, then turn it back on again. Now I just use the circle pad). I wish the graphics were a bit updated though. It's annoying seeing 2D fences and when the doors are opened in the Goron place, you can see they're just like thin sheets of paper :/
EDIT: One major problem with Nintendo. I think they've deactivated my Club Nintendo account. NONE of my emails seem to work :/.
EDIT2: Found my password. Thank god I never just gave up and went onto something else. It had 1350 stars on it. Saving for eShop codes now, lol.
EDIT3: Holy sh'it. When I try and apply for the CD I get "An error occurred when your data were being validated. Please try again later. An error occurred when your data were being validated. Please try again later." Yes, twice. It's not telling me where it's wrong :x
Fully orchestrated legend of zelda theme during the 2nd set of credits! (The ones for OoT3d as opposed to the original credit roll)
Final impressions:
Spoiler
Good:
Graphics are nice.
Ocarina still holds up better than almost every game of that time. And its a good job too since they made no changes to the game other than the graphics
The orchestrated piece on the end credits is amazing.
Don't have much else to say, everyone knows ocarina is an excellent game.
Bad:
The 2 worst parts of the game are certainly :
1)No new content is the worst part of the release as far as I'm concerned. No, refightable bosses does not count.
2)The orchestrated music at the end shows just goes to prove how lazy the rest of the music was. Reusing 13 year old midis or having music that sounds like this? Why didn't the entire thing get redone music to go with the graphics?
Other bits I didn't like:
Gyroscope control sucks. Turned that off the moment I realised I could.
Some of the textures didn't get the reworking that the rest of the game did.
Yeah, I don't honestly have a lot to say about it.
Get a 3ds for it if you haven't played it before. If you've played the pomegranate out of it like I have though, it didn't really seem fun, just going through the motions of a game I knew like the back of my hand

Not entirely sure as it didnt happen to me. Is there not any link you can click to get you back to the page or can you no longer participate if you 'skipped' it?

Maybe I'm the only one, but I LOVE the fact that they used the original sound track from Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. It was amazing back then and is still amazing today. I still listen to its tracks almost daily.

When a fangroup can do a decent job for no profit, without all the time and money nintendo could have thrown at it, there is really no excuse to it.
Granted ZREOs work isn't nearly as good as the one official orchestrated track in OoT 3D, but they should have gone and redone all the songs. Hell, if it mattered that much to playtesters, they should have just redone it all and just stuck an option in there to use the original music.

Maybe it's just a matter of perspective, but I don't think those songs are an improvement at all. They detract from part of the atmosphere that the original songs give, which is why I think they decided not to redo the entire sound track for Ocarina of Time 3D. Usually when songs are remade, they either detract from the orignal theme or they just don't live up to the theme of the situation. It was better for them to have kept the original sound track than to gamble with an "upgraded" sound track.

Why is it ok to "gamble" with the graphics and completely upgrade them with no choice for the buyer, but not the music? And I also said "Granted ZREOs work isn't nearly as good as the one official orchestrated track in OoT 3D". If you compare the ZREOs team attempt at the same songs that make up nintendos orchestrated credit theme, to the one done by the official nintendo orchestra, there really is no comparision, nintendos is a million miles better. Amaingly, that happens when they have a pineappleton of money and time to throw at the project, where fan projects don't.
And, again, if it was that much of a problem, they could have just slapped an original music option in there and be done with it.

Who says they had a lot more money to throw at the project? It's not like Nintendo has a bottomless pit of money. Creating sound tracks for video games, especially high-quality sound tracks, isn't exactly cheap, so they would be putting more money into it than they probably would have made through sales, especially considering the advertisement and whatnot.
There are songs in Ocarina of Time that would have turned out horrible if they tried to "make it better" and I'm pretty sure they knew it. Prime example : Sheik's Theme
It was way more cost-effective to keep the original sound track while keeping the original feel to the game than to pay a music composer to create orchestrated versions of it. They still had Skyward Sword to spend that time and money on, so a remake like Ocarina of Time just wasn't exactly worth the trouble.
They fixed the issue at the Forest Stage (deku scrubs) where if you wore the Mask of Truth post-pulling the master sword they'd fail to give you the Deku Seed upgrade.
Also, it wasn't even Nintendo who did the update. It was GEZZA. Like the Sly collection was done by Sanzaru Games. They have to report to the original company but it's mostly working on their own.
