Best profession for bucc?
#1
I just can't decide which profession I will choose...

At first I was going to pick jewelcrafting since I have most of the accesories slot empty.... but then I thought that with the level up event items that is going to be solved... and only the high-end accesories would replace the ones of the event ( and as far as I know the recipes are hard as hell to get and are only 1 use)

Crafter is maker 2.0, with the adition of the android , and the buffs of the alchemist potions seem cool ( plus the giant potion ) And I read today something like fusing equipments and having a chance of getting a potential item.... that's cool too... but it's worse for my choice...

Are the professions hard to level up ? If no I could make mules to do the other 2 professions...

There are 3 choices and no real perks. Just go with whatever seems the most fun.

Not really. As long as you keep your fatigue constantly maxed out it doesn't take very long at all.

oh , thanks a bunch , how does that fatigue system work , could you post a link somewhere explaining it or w/e?

Anyways I think I will pick alchemy with my main since it LOOKS like the most fun , and that disasembling/combining items perk seems really nice

Fatigue is a bar that maxes out at 100, it resets to 0 once a day (at midnight, I believe, may be different in GMS) and also goes down by 5 per hour. To get optimal usage out of it, you want to max it out as early as possible every day, and then log on again close to when it's about to hit 0 and max it out again. You can also pay some mesos for an instant fatigue drop a few times a day.

Mining/herbing is +1 fatigue and making items is +5 fatigue.

The best is getting jeweler for whatever it is you may need (dark angelic ring, shoulderpad) and once you have everything you need from jeweler, abandon it for alchemy to forge +30 str or dex potions.

i'd actually get a mule for the potions better, but you want your main probably as either a jeweler for the shoulderpads and such, or a crafter, for one single reason:

anything worth it you might want to make for yourself, is untradeable, and i am sure you don't want to pay 4k nx just to get them from one mule to your main every time

yeah I guessed as much... but doesn't alchemy and blacksmithing have untradeable things too?

No need to worry about that, they are equip tradeblock'd which means you can trade them freely until equipped. It'll be exactlly like reverse gear only you can scissor them again at any point.

Sort of related question:
Are the PvP proofs of Ares (or w/e they're called now) awarded at all levels of PvP equally?
If not, I suppose one would need one's main, or another high-level char, to be the profession that has the most use for those proofs (which one's that?), and preferably a class that stands a chance in PvP...

What is there to be confused about? Level 120+ equipment will be tradable all fine when you make them. Equip them and they bind to the character, but can be platinum scissor'd to be tradable again.

I'm glad you clarified that because I have been worried for months now lol. I didn't want to do something hypocritical and invests billions of mesos into equipment that I can never resell again. I remember the purple surfboard vs partisan argument, and some high level bishop on basil was bashing me saying they weren't tradeable Rolleyes.

Yea the only reason to go PSB over Partisan would be the high DEX requirement on the later.

I plan to keep jeweler and use it to make things to sell.
