3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton
Eddikins Wrote:Just ordered the guide on Amazon though. Lost and need pictorial help over gamefaqs. Think i missed a load of stuff inbetween walking into hyrule market and meeting Zelda.

The Visions thing didnt help either ._.

There really isn't anything you can miss between walking into hyrule market and meeting zelda :f6: You can get a couple of upgrades in castle town, but thats it.

 Spoiler
There is some other stuff you can get but its not obtainable/open with the items you have right n ow.

I don't think you need a guide really, I'm sure if you ask here someone could answer pretty much any question on OoT.

@Sarah. I don't think Majoras mask would be any better at using the 3DS' features than OoT was. It's more of a case of this being a lazy port, and possibly nintendo testing to see how little they can get away with to sell a full priced port.

I would have been much happier if they'd done a similar amount of new content as they did with mario 64 DS, but I guess they consider the mirrored master quest as that content >_> Probably them pretending they didn't already release it on the gamecube.
Lozmaster Wrote:Probably them pretending they didn't already release it on the gamecube.

They didn't in Japan. The orignal Master Quest was released on the Nintendo 64, but it had such bad reviews from the JPs that they decided not to go for a full-scale release.

And besides, Master Quest on the Game Cube was a Wind Waker pre-order bonus, so it's not like it was a game everyone could get their hands on.

I don't consider a limited time pre-order bonus for Wind Waker an "official" release. It was pretty lazily done and froze often.

You're thinking of Ura zelda, not master quest. And Ura zelda was never finished or released. The first time master quest was released was on the gamecube as the wind waker bonus.
The 3D is really impressive in places with depth (the water, Goron's cave) but I keep have problems where I lose focus for a split second and suddenly it's an eye-watering mess.
Broke... can't... afford... OOT...

D:
There, just got the confirmation email for my CD. Glad that worked out well.
Well goddamit. Of all the times to find a glitch. If you run at a fence in a bad angle, epona can actually land on the fence. And you can't get off her or the fence.

Wow, that sucks. I hope you saved recently. lol
Rather interesting to see Ninty leaving quite a few glitches in the 3DS port that were also present in the N64 version.

Its starting to look like all the glitches that were in the N64 version are in the 3DS one. I forgot to try the infinite skulluta one, but I'll see if it works when I get around to doing master quest.
Not quite. They fixed the ability to clip through the wall using the statues in Ganon's castle.
I absolutely love the 3DS =)

I played around with the mini-games and settings and such before even playing Zelda.. and when I played Zelda finally..

It's.. beautiful :')
The graphics are stunning.. I even love how when you're walking theres a trail of sparkles that look like they're coming at you..

Aside from perfection
Does anyone else have trouble viewing the game in 3D when using the slingshot with the gyroscope? I can never seem to focus my eyes and keep the 3D effect without seeing two images of Link holding the slingshot =/

Another thing..

I already got lost in the Old Deku Tree -_-

Gyroscope + Stereoscopic 3D = Contradiction

You can get one or the other, not both.

Thanks.

Also.. for those who registered/applied for the Soundtrack offer..

All you gotta do is register the game and when the offer ends (I believe tomorrow?) they'll email you with confirmation of shipping the CD to the address in your Club Nintendo account?
No, you need to register the game and during the process a pop-up saying "you want this?" will come up. If the pop-up didn't come up you need to email/phone them and they'll ask you for your email address, first and last name, etc. to verify your account. It's while supplies last and I'd imagine they're probably out by now, but you should phone anyway if you didn't get the pop-up.

I emailed them. Can't call.. business hours are over.
I don't understand though, they said if you register the game and complete the survey.. you're all set. It says that on the site.
Oh, they updated their site and changed the way the contest works; likely because of problems like mine.

Quote:Due to strong demand and technical issues, we are extending this offer. Members who register the game by midnight, Pacific Time on Monday June 20, 2011 will receive the soundtrack CD.

Quote:Everyone who completes a survey for The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time™ 3D game by midnight, Pacific Time on Monday June 20, 2011 will receive the soundtrack CD. You will receive an email confirmation within 7 days to confirming we have placed your order.

So yeah, you're good.

Thanks for looking into it, Sarah. Much thanks, I got nervous Tongue
Question - In OoT 3D, are you able to use the joy stick to move the camera around, or do you have to use the gyro scope to move the camera? If it's the latter, Bongo Bongo is going to be extremely interesting. I'm assuming it's both, but I just want to make sure. Tongue

Also, are you still able to do the spin attack easily by rotating the joy stick and pressing B? I haven't seen people do that in previews of the game I've watched, so it kind of leads me to believe you can't.
