Smelting is a 100% chance of making anything even at level 1, assuming Tespia is an accurate representation of what we'll get in gms.

Buying the plates after Chaos hits is going to be sooooooooo expensive lol. It's bad now but I can almost guarantee you that it'll be worse then.

I really can't see why. Supply is going to be through the roof and it only takes 2 ores to make a plate...but good to know that smelting is 100%. Besides, i'll have like 3 mining mules.

It's also 6 Lidium ores per Lidium, I think, and 6 ores per Wisdom Crystal. And 6 ores per LUK Crystal.

Yes, there'll be an increasing supply but I expect that the supply will fall very short of the demand in the first couple days/weeks as people try and get the DAR. A hundred people trying to get 388 gold/topaz? I don't expect the supply to meet the demand, not with fatigue, 4 ores/plate.

Even if the demand is really high, like i said, i'll have 4 mining mules after i make my DB/evan. It takes fatigue to mine right? So that's 400 fatigue points per day (excluding the 100 from my bucc which is for forging purposes only), and i can mine 100 times on each character and 20 more times for every hour. If that isn't enough for my plate/gem needs i can just buy them. No big deal.

Having over 9 chars helps sometimes ^^. gonna have a lot of chars to start mining once it hits. But i dont know what to make each of my chars herbalist jeweler or blacksmith.

Me? 1x-3x was KPQ lol. Then I did LPQ to get 2 pairs of glasses on EACH CHARACTER. Then EPQ to 56. That was pre-bb, when hitting 70 was a pain (at least to me).

After bb I decided to get all of them to 70, which I did quite easily, thanks to Twisted Jesters.

After that it was getting them all to 100. The only one that's still under that milestone is my UA drk at 95...

And finally, go for 4th job. Next one on the list is my 106 Evan. Gonna train at Hankies, then some DGP and finish it off with LHC.

Then I'll level my drk. Some Capt. MD (even though I absolutely HATE that place), DGP and LHC.

After that... it's gonna be hell. 103 Outlaw and 100 Hermit. I don't know whether I'm gonna actually try to level them or simply wait for the thief/pirate revamp... lol

You need to find the gold/topaz in random maps though (my mining character got locked out of Tespia so I can't confirm) I don't think they drop in the dedicated mining maps.

The daily mining maps pretty much cover the level 1-4 gems/plates though, and it won't actually take that much longer to upgrade forging with those. At level 7 I still get 3/4 of the exp from level 1 difficulty stuff.

Also, in the 30-odd plates I made before I got locked out, I didn't get any magic powders. Glad I stockpiled those in decent quantities.

I got up to level 4 in Jewel crafting and level 4 in mining and I only got 1 powder, a brown one.

Gah. Picked the hat instead of the glasses. And then I landed a 20% Anniversary Scroll on it (+3 to all stats). Made me feel pretty happy.



Got enough NX for a share name tag thingy for the glasses, which I should have in a few days thanks to my dit, and an extra pendant slot (Yay +5atk)

No. My Dark Knight is in Scania and so are a few mules whenever I feel like going to Synergy/Eternity FM.
