3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton

And now i'm starting to get buyers remorse over OoT. It's an ok port, but therein lies the problem, its still a shiny port.

I think they got the balance right. The graphics are quite a big improvement but it's pretty subtly done so you kind of don't notice.

With a game like Ocarina I wouldn't want them to start plantaining around with it really. I see it is more of a game for people that never got to experience it the first time around and just a big nostalgia orgasm for the rest of us.

At least this is good news. They might remake Majora's Mask now. The superior N64 title.

The moment I started playing OoT I started craving for a remake of that. It better happen.

However, I would love it of they continued making 3D Zeldas for handheld consoles rather than this stylus-does-everything sh*t.

For turning Zelda into a pure Stylus controlled game I thought they done a very good job. I was genuinely surprised at how well and smoothly it played. The controlling of the game wasn't the main issue for me, more certain choices they made about the content.

It should have redirected you to a page to fill out information for shipping after you filled out the survey.

Then again, that's just how the US Nintendo site worked. You may have gotten to it a little to late, or Canada's website has it set up differently.

I thought I saw a Canada link (for both Canadian English and Canadian French) on the main portage page for the Nintendo site before it directed me to the US site. I could be wrong, though.

Anywho, as soon as I registered the code and completed the survey, it came up and said, "Congratulations! You qualify to receive a free copy of the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time 3D Sound Track!" and it gave me an option to either decline it or proceed to shipping information.

I didn't find any bundles whatsoever online.. before I head on over to GameStop and buy the game + a Black 3DS..

The only thing I know of is the trade-in deal was extended. If you trade in old games or consoles, you get store credit, which you can use torward your purchase. I'm not sure if that's what you want to do or if that's what you're looking for.

I never trade in old games (too many memories/saved data), plus I only have the first Nintendo DS (original, blue) and don't I need that to play GBA games?

Googling it said that many people are having this issue. I've logged a ticket with the support section of their site but I think I'm going to call too. Not going to miss this because of their glitchy bullpomegranate.

And I know about the country selector but I've been using club.nintendo.com for the last few years and have received several orders from them through coins.

So I gotta buy the game seperate and the 3DS seperate.. without a discount or bundle.. darn D:

The 3D for this hurts my eyes a lot more than it did for Rayman. Luckily it looks just as nice with the 3D off.

Just ordered the guide on Amazon though. Lost and need pictorial help over gamefaqs. Think i missed a load of stuff inbetween walking into hyrule market and meeting Zelda.

The Visions thing didnt help either ._.

I've got to agree with Mark, though I don't think we're on the same thought process here. OoT is nice and it's good to have an updated, portable copy of it without the obnoxious Nintendo console controllers, but even at best it's a port with no special features or even spectacular uses of what the (3)DS is capable of. The gameplay of Majora's Mask lends itself perfectly to the (3)DS with the use of the touch screen to help keep track of the many, many events. If they added map-marking like in PH/ST and a good, in-game notebook to a MM remake it would be be spectacular -- probably better than the original.
