If you've scrolled an item does it reset all scrolls and remove bonus stats? Do fused items need to be the same type? Like, two maple magician shields, for example?

You can only use 2 of the exact same item ID.
Bonus stats are removed - I haven't tried scrolls, but it resets Reverse items to clean level 1. ed: tried scrolled items, they become clean and average too. Essentially it's like forging a new item, but the ingredients are 2 of that item, and you can't use any stimulators, jewels, etc. At this point, the profession system seems to be discarding the concept of being able to make useful items entirely. If you want to make something above average, with stats you can't get by hunting it, do it before Chaos. It's definitely a boon for starting players - makes it a lot easier to obtain potential'd items with mesos. But it is useless to the high level crowd, who has already scrolled gear they're not going to get rid of. On another note, watch the minimap when you're in the Orbis tower. If you stand on a platform that's not on the minimap, you'll DC.

Once you know alchemy, it adds a button in your inventory that pops up the UI. (there's also one to unmake items)
Unfortunately, you need to be inside the Profession town in order to actually use it.

Alright... I've heard Cygnus's english voice. And it's... ... kinda annoying. Also got nuked by her damage reflect thanks to not knowing the animation and using hurricane. Fun times. I am intrigued, however, by the fact I got a quest from Shinsoo of all people after respawning, but all it seemed to be was a brief notice letting you know the big guy might still be alive somewhere...

Why not disable all ultimates then? Or just enable them -all-? Really weird... :o Well, at least Mech Tank Laser gets upgraded in range and Mech Drill Rush gets upgraded in number of targets hit in Chaos, so I guess those are the new Mech's ultimates now...

So I'm noticing it is significantly more efficient to spam item fusion than it is to harvest herbs for potions.

This method is way more of a meso sink though (assuming you're just buying Level 35/40 gear and fusing those mostly for the Alchemy EXP), although if you're like me with massive amounts of misplaced luck, you can get stuff like the below in just three days worth of fatigue:

EDIT: I have to comment on the avoidability rate as well... I went on an Ani run yesterday night and noticed that during the entire 7 minute run, I only got seduced about five times and hit by an attack about 6 times. Even though my Bowmaster is glitched to hell and back, she only has avoid such that I expect anyone with godly +% DEX/LUK gear to be able to duplicate or even surpass what I'm seeing. But... I'll go take a screenshot of exactly how much avoid I have the next time I jump into Tespia.

:O The above gives me hope that i can one day make a godly top bottom combination for a class that does not have a top- and bottom!
Anyone know if GMS implemented recipes for android gears? Other it's just gonna be a waste of space to have iruvata boosters coming from gach + that one quest + the ones you can't trade in your inventory...

Arrol Wrote:Uhh, does item fusion have a higher chance of getting Epic/Unique Potential? I don't know. I'd chalk it up to my massive misplaced luck. (As in, why can't I be this lucky in the live servers?) I got both that top and bottom on my way to Level 4 Alchemy. I had 9 tops, and only one came out potentialed, which you see in that picture up there. I had 15-18 bottoms (15-18 because some were fused, and I went out to buy additional bottoms), and three came out potentialed (technically two, but fusing those two together resulted in that bottom up there). Incidentally, those two were the only epic potentialed items I got in my brief experiment. But then I tried to fuse 15-18 Blue Amoria skirts afterwards, and didn't get results nearly as ridiculous as the above (5 potentialed skirts in total, all rare, 2 three-lined).

Arrol Wrote:Uhh, does item fusion have a higher chance of getting Epic/Unique Potential? no. at least i don't think so, will be same chance to get a epic/unique item, but unlike cubes im guessing you could end with a rare item when fusing a epic/unique.

Arrol Wrote:It could be safe to say this is like a discounted version of using cubes. Discounted version with easily forgeable/found clean or terribly scrolled equips. No one is going to fuse two arcglaives together for a chance at a hidden potential one, for instance. >_>

You'll never hear someone say "I need to get better potential on this Elemental Staff, let's fuse it with this other staff." So its better to use it on like easy to get common or class equipment.

You can fuse Brown Skullcaps (500 mesos from an NPC) for Alchemy Exp. You get 3 fewer exp then fusing lvl 31-70 items, but it's much cheaper. And before the shops run out of Skullcaps because everyone is going to fuse them: there's more cheap equipment like the lvl 10 class hats (800 mesos each). |
