Hello, sorry for the delay, welcome to TRAF2! You all know the deal -- oh wait, not quite. I have a small rule change in store for you, since respawning was never implemented properly to begin with. So to reduce confusion, here are the rules again in full, with new bits marked in bold.
--
Basic rules: Players are randomly divided into Team A and Team B (you can give yourselves a nickname if you wish). During each round, if you are alive, you can do one of three basic actions:
1) Shoot air
2) Shoot [opponent]
3) Shoot yourself
If you shoot an opponent who shoots air or someone else, your target is killed. If you shoot an opponent who shoots themselves, you are killed instead. If you shoot yourself, you survive if an opponent shoots you, but die otherwise.
Additional actions: In addition to the basic RAF rules, you have the choice of one additional action:
4) Shoot [living teammate] (or protect)
Shooting a teammate is equivalent to that teammate shooting herself: she lives if an opponent shoots her, but dies otherwise. If a person is protected multiple times, whether by herself or by teammates, it counts only once.
Respawning: At the end of a round, if at least one person on Team A died, one (and only one) random person on Team B returns to play in the next round. And vice versa.
Communicating: You may communicate privately with your team members, but I don't see how it does all that much good. I guess you could avoid targeting the same person multiple times.
Winning: If at the end of a round all players on a team are dead, the remaining team wins.
