Or Nexon could just charge a a small fee to make an account but after making the account the game-play is free forever. This Free-to-Play Bullshit is just making them go in circles with no legit answer to any of the problems, because hackers can just recreate a new account and start more trouble.. You make people pay for something, they'll think 5x before attempting a hack/glitch. For fucking sakes it's getting pretty damn annoying right now.
I hope they rollback everything because I had scrolled a poor knuckle for my pirate.... LoL

The ability to start playing for free is what gets maple all of its players, including those who eventually pay a lot. People don't like paying up front for something they don't know whether they'll enjoy. And children, the target audience for this game, don't usually have access to a credit card.

No, what Nexon needs to do is fix their game architecture to prevent hacks, and improve their source-code control and qa tools and methodology. I can't imagine how a stupid bug like this - exit portal from PQ not working, nvm the exp it gave out - made it into the live server. Did they change the portal unintentionally and fail to notice it? Did they change it in an attempt to fix the bug that was apparently there for a while (maybe since BB?) with the splitting party thing, and not test the fix at all? Either way, it boggles the mind.

You think the meso farmers and hackers making hundreds, thousands of dollars off this game would care if they have to spend 5 bucks to activate an account? Hell, they already spend nx to buy pets to loot with, so the extra 5 bucks wont hurt them.

Well there really isn't a need for credit card when you can just redeem one of the game cards. Accounts don't become valid until some type of cash is paid. But ehh, just Food For Thought. I guess a new security structure could help...

The closest thing I'd ever done to exploit a glitch was when I was a cleric still training at wraiths at 6x.
I figured out how to turn in diamonds for exp in ellinia. Got from early 6x to 7x in like an hour, it was great
until I got a blue message saying to stop doing it. >.<
