Multiple Wii U Controllers Are a Cost Issue

This leads to arguing and bickering over who gets the Wii U remote etc etc.

The thing is takebacker, you're talking from a personal perspective without looking from the corporation's point of view or the average joe.

Anyways, the other thing about the controller is it looks like it has the potential to be awkward and/or heavy. Compared to nintendo's usual designs, this is a huge difference.

People have actually said that it's really light, surprisingly enough.

On topic, though... I thought they were saying that they couldn't do more than one controller at a time? But the cost issue makes sense as well, since I imagine that they're going to lose some money by including one controller as is...

I dunno why I'm smelling N64 and Gamecube in the air. I'm still not sure on how I feel about the new Wii U.

My thoughts on why the WiiU isn't using blurays is because Sony largely supports bluray. Perhaps this is the reason?

Yeah, because buying multiple controllers has NEVER been a "considerable" price increase. In fact, buying more controllers actually DECREASES the overall price!

I think they mean the hardware inside the console will increase, and that getting it to stream different images to multiple controllers will require more processing power/hardware.

That's pretty hard to believe, considering Ninty has claimed the Wii U to have "50% more power than the PS3".

You know, Multiple Wii U controllers for a game actually sounds interesting... But...this. Oh well.
And no more DVD and Blu-ray.

Not sure why the no dvd thing is a big deal, I have 7 dvd ready devices don't need more.

My friend has a 6 year old son and she was looking to buy him a gaming console but she wanted one that is worth the money so I broke down for her what each of the current ones is capable and she ended up buying a PS3 solely because not only can it play games but it will allow them to watch blu-rays and stream from Netflix. It's a really important feature to families.

That little guy is lucky. I'm 16 and still fighting with my parents to get a freaking ps3...

If anyone thought they were going to sell the controller individually, you must be crazy. A remote with a freakin' touchscreen is going to cost much more than the usual 30$~40$, and people have to buy three remotes usually. This remote would cost at least 80$, making it way too expensive for a normal family. Cost is always a factor.
People buy remotes with the system, if the the system costs $350 and you buy three controllers, your skyrocketing the price. That doesn't even include buying a game to play.
