Kyubi's Sealed Chakra

During the flashback to the day the Kyubi attacked Konoha and Minato and Kushina sealed it within Naruto, it is said that Minato couldn't seal all of the Kyubi's power inside Naruto due to it being too big, so he sealed half of it within himself first.

Now, I've got this question in my head. why was it necessary to create the argument of the Kyubi's power divided in half?

So far, the Kyubi has been displayed as the strongest of the 9 Bijuus. Doesn't seem like Kishi wanted the Kyubi to be weaker or at the same level than the other ones. Doing that hasn't been necessary for none of the other 8 Jinchiurikys so why just Naruto? Why not just having Naruto get the Kyubi's full power? The only reasons I can think of are:

- Because Minato thought that it would make it impossible for Madara to revive the Juubi if the Kyubi's power is incomplete.
- Because Naruto is eventually getting it back as a powerboost

I personally would like to see the second option come truth, seeing how Naruto is still below a Kage's level while Sasuke is probably far beyond that using Itachi's eyes.

What's wrong about making a separate thread for this in the manga section? I post it there it will just get ignored by people talking about current events in the manga

Your two options may very well be right but we must also keep in account the fact that he only sealed his yin/yang (I never know which one) part which gave naruto an abudance of a certain one of the two. One has something to do with the uchiha and it's like mental power while the other one is more physical. This gave Naruto trouble with the bunshin technique but exceptional progress with the kage bunshin technique. It could've been used as a plot device to further make clear the opposite relation in sasuke/naruto or it's simply kyuubi hype because even a suicide hokage seal technique can only contain half of its being.

As for your points. The other half can't be gotten back as it's sealed within the Death God. The only reason it had to be half was probably because the host was a new born. Most hosts become what they are at as children, not when they've just been born.

Knowing the flow of how Naruto goes, he'll somehow manage to break the death god's seal with some sort of accidental forbidden jutsu while fighting madara or kabutomaru because of some random dimension disorder technique and then he'll get full powered up and kick whoever's butt he's fighting. Then he becomes super hacks and can fight Sasuke, who has recently also gotten super hax.
