EDIT: unfortunately, this would clash with the first 2 Chaos updates. Therefore, Nexon won't do it, because they'll lose a lot of money. Probably bans that end when Chaos starts, if anything. That'd be typical nexon.

Ha. That would be something that Nexon would worry about, but imo, pineapple that reason. If people broke the ToS they should miss out on the beginning of Chaos. Just because the game is going through a major update does not and should not exempt abusers from their due punishment. Like Blades4hire just said, if legits can be banned during the time Chaos is implemented, the same should happen for anyone who has abused these hacks/glitches/exploits. The best course of action for this current problem is to rollback. Hopefully Nexon does that and then breaks out the bans because otherwise we will be right back with the same problems (plus some new ones) next week.

From what I can tell most of the remaining 27 att VSSs aren't directly duped; they're scrolled with duped 10%/ws but the equips themselves (the only part nexon can tell if it's duped or not) are unique. After all, what's the cost of a couple hammers when you can make another 1300 nx shoe into the best thing in the game.

Yeah I think it's all seperate items is what, there's always tons of VSS for sale in the FM and stuff. And WGs are real easy to get clean too anyways.

Here's the thing about banning: they don't lose money. It's plainly obvious but it took me a long time to get it, but Nexon DOES NOT CARE about customer retention. They have done nothing to keep old customers/players around and will continue to do nothing. They allow hacking/glitching/whatever because they're lazy and or/don't know how to deal with it, not because they're afraid that they'll lose money if they do. And that's because they won't. New players will continue coming and throwing money at them because of the uniqueness of MapleStory.

The only way to combat Nexon's lazy efforts toward Maple would be to have another company enter the market and do everything maple does BUT BETTER and provide them with some actual competition. Then they'd be forced to care (or shut maple down). But customer retention is of absolutely no concern to Nexon.

I hope this turns into a roll back anfi really hope Nexon doesn't give a 2x event. Canute and I were talking about this and we agreed that giving 2x events while yes it awards us, the legits(most of us) hackers will keep hacking if they know they are gonna get a reward for it. I know a good amount of y guild and alliance don't even go the full 4 hours of 2x. They just don't want to deal with it. Hope everything goes well guys andi hope nexon learns like they did with the maple points to give no 2x.

Eh i doubt they would lose money on not banning. If only through people being fed up and quit. Those who glitched and stayed however will probably dump a lot of money into cubes because they're suddenly "high level" and they need the funding to complement that.

No, I'm saying they would lose money on banning for 30 days, which would be until 5 days after professions. Lose a buttload of money banning for more than 13-14 days, really.

Yeah it is pretty horsepomegranate that you can have the game go down for an exploit and expect a 2x event, makes the weekends miserable imo.

well if nexon wants to stop us from getting 2x exp, they should fail less

And it still wasn't that funny...

I would not call it chaos as this is fairly standard at this point.
