Well closing the MTS before a possible rollback would be wise, just to thwart even more MTS related duping.

Nah, that's actually HOW you dupe...When maple does crashes/unscheduled server checks if you put items in the MTS and if there is a rollback they can get duped. Even if you didn't do it on purpose...It's not gonna work every time but it's about uncommon to happen.

This could be a sign they might actually rollback too.

I just hit 118 on my mech and I got almost 400 boxes...please don't rollback. T_T

I had just gotten to ToT when the game went down.
Technically, there is not anything in the ToS that says this is wrong; we didn't packet edit or hack, I knowI didn't bot (I pressed UP for sooo long, though), and we didn't use 3rd party programs.
Incidentally, on the User Abuse Policy, botting is defined as:
Using a macro, third-party program, or physical method to play the game in a repetitive manner.
Sound like grinding, anyone?

And, to my knowledge, it was 94080 exp every .6-.7 seconds, not .89 every second. At least that's what it looked like to me.

my DB got 94, but the video showed 89, so i guess it changes?

and dupes happen due to the MTS not rollbacking, but you being restored to a time before you MTS'd the item, or this is as far as i know, all my good stuff is potential'd anyways ~_~

It was glitched and you abused it. Facts are facts. If you don't think you should be punished then there should be a RB since it's not really a punishment where a ban hammer would be.

I'm sorry officer, I didn't know speeding was against the law. I guess that excuses me.

It was a party of four, I was lowest level (starting at 133) and highest was 155 (at start). HS didn't effect it, neither did 1.2x. It was always 94080 for everyone. We just sat there for 20 minutes each time, holding down up arrow. 3 times, amazing exp to start, then got to only being about .2% each time.
So pineappling amazing. Maxed thorns and SR, failed MT mastery book. Would have been epic if I had ever bothered to finish zak JQ and get the books for FC and CoH before. Ohhhhhhh well.
I'm gonna be pissed if I get banned. First ever 4th jobber. :|

It sounds possible, but improbable. It really depends on how their database is set up. They have never done selective rollbacks. The only rollbacks they've done affected the entire game.

Selective rollbacks are horrible or just impossible without items going missing/duping. Any item traded off the character would be duped, any character traded onto the character would be lost forever.

So it's either ban, full RB or nothing at all.
