This......... means those changes to bind cubes imply they can bind with our current avas. I have.... 5 bind cubes and 2 goldens stashed away for all this time on Exo. All my saved Priest avas...

Basically certain avatars that have slots to add stats to them with stuff called emblems (meaning you pretty much gotta buy new avatars, and I'm sure not all of the newest avas have slots). It's incredibly expensive because the best emblems are gained by grinding up (yes, you're reading that correct) advanced and rare avas. Pretty much goldbuyer tier.

Well, at least the most worthwhile emblems should only be used on rares anyways.

This more or less drops all avatars by one tier though effectively speaking, rares are new adv, adv new basic, basic is garbage

Rare clones are gold buyer.

Oh how did I miss that? Summoners will have a much easier time in parties now that the summons can pretty much be made near invisible. :>

So like apparently, when you bind avas the only reason why you should bind them post patch is because the resultant will also retain the same type of characteristics.

i.e. Binding slotted avas can result in slotted rares, likewise this means binding non-slotted avas result in non-slotted avas

Therefore Nexon better be selling some slot generators or something for a while, and during that sales period, it'd be probably cheaper to bind non-slotted rares and then buy the slots onto them.

Assuming they don't pineapple us up trololol.
