SC is far from it, dunno where you're getting this idea from, unless you're trying to humor me.

it is one, actually! the only difference is that the buttons do something when mashed repeatedly.

every game is a button masher, but only if you're an idiot. WoW and SF require a sense of timing most of the time; being able to hit keys in a specific sequence quickly given an opportunity != button mashing. also get off your high horse with that second part, it's clear as day that i misinterpreted a statement of yours and your pretentiousness isn't making you look any better. i was implying that starcraft wasn't a button masher, anyway.

Ok, fair enough. The game's a button masher to total and complete morons who clearly don't know how an RTS is played lol

Clearly you've never played WoW as a DPS class/spec, because you're button mashing your set rotation to do more overall DPS, or did you miss my last post in where I explained it?
Healers and Tanks are understandable, because they suffer way more consequences for mashing.

If you're only talking about mashing the next spell you need to cast to get it out as soon as your GCD ends, then that applies to SC as well. I play Zerg and I mash the production buttons while waiting for larva to appear. Same concept, no? Also applies to many many other games where you want to use skill #2 as soon as skill #1 is done.

Like I said, SC can be a button masher if you don't micro / macro manage.

How is that not macro? Pumping out units as soon as they are available is something you SHOULD be doing.

How IS it a macro? That's not even what Macroing or microing is, unless you want to group "clicking" and "button mashing" together, in which case, every game in the universe is a button masher lol

i don't think WoW and starcraft are button mashers. like my point and click thing earlier, I'm pretty sure when games are "button mashers" they don't mean it in the literal sense. there are certain timings and things you need to consider when you perform your actions so you can't just spam any buttons and hope you will win.

as for being on topic well, i've played the japanese demo a few months ago and while i liked it, many of the mechanics and systems have already been done before. it's still pretty darn fun though. there was a year where korean dragon nest rarely had any major updates(the level cap was 40 for the longest time i believe) and it makes me worry about how this game is gonna do with the content...

micro and macro managing, not the usage of a macro.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

1a2a3a seems like button mashing to me.

I did not make it, sadly .___.

I'm from Europe though, so I'm probably going to have to find a way to play it through a proxy or something. Also, what the eff is with comparing Dragon Nest's combat system with that of WoW or Rift? Dragon Nest is more like Maplestory in a 3D version when it comes to combat.

Not sure what's meant by this schedule and how limiting it seems. 6 hrs a day seems a bit small. Ah well. Same as above, no clue how we're gonna download, but they have 3 hrs till it's up, so let's just hope it's sometimes between now and then.

Anyone want to meet up when it starts?
