It is simply taken out. KMS did it, and GMS follow suit. VIP weapons is now a little less OP, and VIP gear is simply kind of meh.

The crystal boxes drop in Tespia. That's where you got them from in other versions,. though, I do not know if they give the surfboards in our event. I got pots, a quest item and an expiring face ice cream so far.
