The First Annual MapleStory Community Awards

In the end it's just about people's opinion... if they think it sucks, good for them. If they think it's cool, good for them too.
If it's just an excuse to bash nexon, who cares?

To me, it's cool that they give awards for that. Who cares if the rewards "suck", they're still being recognized for being cool members of the maple community.
And actually, the rewards don't suck to me... they're not the best thing either but they're pretty cool. It proves that the game doesn't have to be about overpowered in game items. (They might've chosen those rewards to make people complain less. Imagine if the rewards were op in game items...)

I guess they're referring to AngelWingsAB? I know she does that Twitter & FB thing. And, since they mentioned it was a 'her' I don't think it would be the 'AngelWings' guy. Nice Nexon, nice.

But seriously, this award thing is silly. I like the look of the Humanitarian medal though.

To be honest she's the only one that deserves it. I remember back in 06-07, she used to get a lot of grief because there were a lot of exhackers of the 06 era in Destiny. She took it like a champ, didn't attack people, simply politely disagreed. She always helped people, like always.

I wouldn't even want that trophy, I'd hide it, it's just embarrassing.

I'm going to start being a regular on nexons forums, just to pineapple with this grant kid.

Sure, you may want it now, but come next year will it honestly be your most prized possession? I doubt it.

so i am not entitled to have something, unless i adore the crap out of it?well, time to throw away my wii, ps3, snes, gamecube, and several gameboys and keep my 64, while at it, i'll throw all my clothes away except my favorite pair of pants and shirt, all those cool lego's i had as a kid? gone too, i only need one decorating my room, out with the books, and several spawn figurines i have.

notice the problem here? i want it not because "omg it's vonleon, must have!!1! i'll make it an altar" but simply because i like it, in my opinion, it seems to be going to end pretty nicely, i mean, it doesn't even have colors atm.

I don't use the Nexon Forums so I honestly have no idea who the winners are.

The only problem I have with these community awards is this:

Shouldn't the community have chosen the candidates or the winners for each respective category?

As for the whole unobtainable medals thing, it does say the first annual, so hey you've got just under a year to frequent the nexon forums and suck some major ass to get a medal next year.

I think as a whole they could have made a bigger event out of this. It all feels very low key and trivial. Hopefully they will do something better next year.
