also, it's a MMORPG, there is stuff you WON'T HAVE, EVER. for some, it could be the time traveler medal, white eyes, etcertera.

Don't care, didn't comment on that. I simply remarked that this is the sort of action that makes a game unplayable for ME. It was a very specific and personal statement. I didn't say Nexon HAS DONE IT AGAIN ARGHEARGARGH WHAT A BUNCH OF TWATS. I stated that if I still enjoyed maple story at all, this would have have ruined it for me.

Boohoo. There are items I'll never be able to collect in this game because they're special items given only to a select group of people.

All collectible items should be equal opportunity. Pretty sure you'd whine like a baby if Nintendo made a Zelda that you could never get your hands on. An incomplete and uncomplete-able collection is worthless. Even if something is ridiculously hard and out of my grasp I can still hold onto the hope that some day I'll achieve it. The addition of things like this that are a part of the collection but impossible for anyone else to have ruin the entire purpose of having collections in the first place.

I wouldn't care at all if this had been some I'M A WINNER hat or something. Medals were the only thing left in the game to collect and now that's not even possible.

Jesus. Are you people ever satisfied? They finally do something to show they're more than just a money-hungry game company by awarding people something trivial and pointless for simply being recognizable members of the site forums, and you're upset?
How the f'uck are you ever going to be satisfied with the company? You complain that they're idiots, that they're inept, that they don't care about others, and that they don't do their jobs. We get it, you dislike Nexon. Now can you please stop using whatever excuse you find to state the obvious of your character?

Honestly that trophy looks pretty cool IMO. Liking the details on the teeth.

i'd rather see notices about the fixes they plan to bring for all the exploits in the last few months than notices about who posts most on their forums.

even though i agree, i doubt the sculptors are the game dev's, so it's not like they are losing coding power.

I don't care about the trophy -- creating one-of-a-kind items that are completely unachievable for me, as a collector, is what is unacceptable. You need to get over whatever grudge you've been holding the last two weeks and stop following me around just to quote me and say HIGH HORSE POST. Don't like what I have to say? Ignore me, chump.

Sorry, how is not wanting one-of-a-kind unachievable for everyone items the same as "wanting everything handed to [me]"? I would gladly work hard, and HAVE worked hard for all of my collections. All I want is for everything to be fair and available to all. Being available to all =/= being given to all. Just because something is available doesn't mean you can get it easily, it just means the option is there to get it if you want it, by whatever the means to do so may be.

Yeah. There probably are tons of other medals to come, and not all of them will be easily obtainable, if at all. The above mentioned are impossible to obtain together, but there are other examples.

I consider the Mu Gong Medal being borderline impossible to obtain. Sure, it's a "fair chance to everyone", but no one in the game is likely to be able to obtain it, or just a few people, considering you even have to solo for it to count the kills.

Point is: don't bother too much with medals. You're very likely to never be able to obtain them all. Is that sad? Yeah, it is, but what can we do about it?

While the three other awards may not be related to brown-nosing, the Humanitarian Award is brown-nosing incognito; I wasn't one bit surprised to see Grantwall's name there.

Regarding the trophy or whatever the hell they're getting: One year from now it's going to be in some insignificant place rotting away. Not a big deal.

the whole point of a MMORPG is that it can't be "completed" there will always be "something else to get" that will make you spend time and/or cash.

chair collectors have it the worst, with nexon trolling and making chairs untradeable and tradeable on a whim.

To all of you saying the trophy looks like crap, you must've missed the part with "The trophy is still in production, but promises to be a fitting and regal tribute to our recipients."

Sure, you may want it now, but come next year will it honestly be your most prized possession? I doubt it.

If it is, you need to get out more, to put it bluntly.
