Oz's Flame Gear after Jump?
#1
Chaos changes: -
Quote:Damage of Oz’s Flame Gear has been increased from 240% to 280%. Damage over Time has been increased from 50% to 100% and the duration of damage over time has been increased from 3 to 8 seconds with an interval of 1 second.

Warrior Jump changes:
Quote:- Damage and skill duration of Oz’s Flame Gear has been increased from 15 seconds and 15% damage to 40 seconds and 40% damage, respectively.

So it changes to having a longer duration and decreased damage?

Chaos - 100%x8=800% every 8 seconds.
4000% every 40 seconds?

Jump - 40%x40=1600% every 40 seconds.

So does it get nerfed from Chaos or does spadow's jump description pertain to something else?

AoE DoT skills like Poison Mist, Flame Gear and Poison Bomb, are only good if they last for a (long) time. 8 seconds is too short for the skill to be usefull for extra DPS, since you have to recast the skill every 8 seconds, and that costs time (and lowers your DPS with it), time where you could have used your main DPS skill to do more dmg then casting the AoE DoT skill. Wink

40 seconds AoE DoT skills are better by default, since you only have to cast them 1x per 40 seconds to get the extra DoT DPS. Smile

I don't think he was asking about that at all. He is asking if the Jump update is a nerf or a buff since the description is kinda confusing.

The Chaos update duration change is referring to the damage over time, this is the damage that is still inflicted on the mobs even after the gears have disappeared. The Jump update however, is referring to the actual gears duration. So after both updates, Gears last for 40 seconds, disappear, and continue inflicting damage for 8 more seconds. However, I have no idea what the damage change from 15% to 40% is referring to, since nothing does 15%. It's worded as a damage increase, so I hope it's good.

That part confused me as well.

The Jump update mentions skill duration instead of damage of time so I assumed that they redesigned Flame Gear into having 15 seconds of 15% DoT at level 1 to 40 seconds of 40% DoT at level 5.

I think the 40% damage refers to the damage dealt by the skill the moment you cast it, to any monster near your character. I got no experience using flame gear, but I've used poison mist and I remember it acting as a regular attack the moment you cast it. hitting 1 monster in front of you.

Yes, I was thinking this as well, and yeah Flame Gear works the same way, dealing damage on cast. I'm going to do some testing on my bishop and see if this is what they're referring too.

It already does 280% when you cast it post chaos.

Is there a skill table for UA skills post Jump?

I can see the revamped explorer skills post Jump and UA skills post big bang in the Ultimate Skill Tables section but thats about it.

Post Archer Jump, from what I can see:
Intial Damage = 205 + 15 * Level (280% at Max)
Duration (Of Gears) = 5 + 7 * Level (40 Seconds at Max)
DoT % = 25 + 15 * Level (100% at Max)
DoT Duration = 3 + Level (8 Seconds at Max)

I have no idea what the post Warrior Jump numbers are supposed to be.
