Another Fucking Earthquake
#1
Today we got a 5.5 at 1 PM and then a 6.0 at 2:20 PM in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Everything is messed up again, and the University is closed.

No fatalities have been reported luckily, although 10 moderate injuries have been.

I heard it on the news... Doesn't sound too good... Sad

I heard a lot of people were planning moving out of Christchurch to live somewhere else... :o

:C at least it wasn't as bad as the previous one. I'm still anticipating the "ultra mega earthquake" in the bay area in Cali that we're supposed to get. The one thing that frustrates me most is that of all the natural disasters in the world, Earthquakes are about THE most unpredictable of them all. We're basically stuck waiting in suspense until maybe a few seconds before it really hits (we do have certain technology to give us at least a few seconds warning).

Apparently people are just so fed up that they all want to leave.

Wow what. That really sucks, I can see why people would want to leave...

What is this? I've tried looking for ~2 minutes but nothing relevant came up. Link please?

I hope everything works out fine in a near future and university opens again.
I'm glad there are no fatalties so far, and I hope there are none. Events like this are so heartbreaking.

I think the whole city needs to be packed up and moved elsewhere.

Yeah. What sense does it make to tolerate closing schools and risking citizens' lives every so often?
