Get Vegas 9.0 or 10.0 and Fraps (if not using yet) and it should increase the quality by a LOT.

I believe Vegas7 doesn't have decent HD render settings. For instance try to play THIS video on 1080px and compare it. It's not to bash you, but I'm just telling you how you could improve your video by changing some settings in the render tab .
