Why are you making a pirate?
#41
Because I can, and it's free. KAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKA! Rolleyes

No, really. Pirates have super-cool-looking piratey equips and can go SUPER SAIYAN and have guns and can punch people in the face. DO YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH AWESOMENESS THAT IS?

SARS.

Something new and fun to try!
Not sure which I want to be yet, Brawler/Infighter, or Gunslinger.

I'll probably make a Gunslinger like I did on JMS. What was surprising though was that 2x went by really fast. Ariant owns (Sand Moles, not the PQ >_>).

Because I pineappleed up my first Ranger, which I sold to my friend who's gonna leech train it, and I don't have the motivation to get to 70 again on a job I've already gotten there on. That and Gunslingers are similar to Rangers...and guns are cool. So are Pirates. Only one things missing: the Rum.

Still really debating this whole thing. My cousin and i are funding the same infighter, so that's a no brainer. I guess when the bullets become too common that they're sold for eas money, i'll start one up =)

Unless they completely change the drop tables for bullets, it will probably take like a month for them to get cheap, haha.

Funny, I'm seeing more gunslingers on these forums than infighters. Hopefully the rest of the MS community will bandwagon infighters. I want cheap guns!

I've been playing over 2 years now. I've pretty much always been an archer. I have several 3x characters of other classes (cleric, bandit, permabeginner), but never seem to get into them very much, and always go back to my bowmaster.

I'm starting a gunslinger for something new and different. Several of my old friends are starting pirates too, so we'll run around being noobs again.

I doubt I'll get it past 70, but we'll see how I like it.

Yeah I feel the same way. That's why I always comment on sw that "infighters are way godly strong and beat dexless sins on dps." But really I have no facts to support that statement. XD

I totally understand. I made a few other chars but I really only liked saders and cbs. I've tried clerics, f/p, page, and spearmen.

Also yeah a lot of my friends pretty much quit maple but they're all coming back for pirates. YAY

I just want to become a pirate because I have nothing better to do in maplestory and infighters are cool. Glitter

I'm making a pirate because of the whole super combo class thing, think about it, a class that actually involves strategy istead of spamming attacks. The only problem is I don't know if I want Brawler or Gunslinger more... so... I made two noobs for pirates so I can test out both classes and see which one I like best.

because i hate low HP, and would love to go around screaming "Falcon PUUUUNNNCH" while training. Also, even though i have a 12x NL, which i could have level to 14-15x, given the time ive spent preparing for pirates, and the time ill be leveling my pirate, i would really like bossing, and without having to HP wash like a hundred dollars away. Besides, i do believe HP washing is ridiculous, and that nexon shouldnt more or less impose on NL, BM, MM, and quite possibly GS community to spend god knows how much money so they can HT.

But thats a rant for another day

Also the combos look really interesting, so i get to try using a combo heavy class relatively early, as the only other class like that is shadowers, and until 4th job, they arent really combo heavy. Maybe 2 attacks, but thats it, i wanna see how fun it is doing various attacks, to see if it will bring my interest in this game back.

OMG same reason. I have access to almost no NX (except for friend referral =P) but even that isn't enough to cover a decent HP wash. ranged classes will likely only be able to horntail at around 17x-18x, but people don't have time for that... Which is why i went blood master build for my bowmaster (damage isn't my thing, fun is).

So when i eventually get an infighter, i can fund it with my possible zak runs that i can do on my Bowmaster (assuming i pass SE 20 and 30 >.> nexon needs to make the drop rate of this skill more decent... 150 mil is ridiculus *sorry ht only skill people*)

With infighter, i can be more lax about not dieing so quickly. It makes it a lot better for me. I'll eventually make one of each tho xD

Actually if you do friend referral 15 times, since the limit of 5 per account is only every month, and event lasts till 5th of november, then you get 78k nx. Which, if used only for washing, isnt terrible, so thats what im doing. It buys 25 washes, after all, so thats like *roughly* more then cutting out 25 levels of leveling, if you have the MP. So you figure its like 15x or so? Plus HP gear cuts it down more(and as a bowmen you at least got +HP overall, helmet, and shoes from bosshunter gear, and blood bowman isnt as bad as blood NL, its cuts out more of our damage) So you figure if you did that, you get what? 14x HTing? Maybe?
