Terraria discussion thread

Terraria is soon expecting another large update. Not only there will be many fixes and tweaks to existing mechanics, but there will also be a few new features added to the game.

We're not going to spoil it for you, but lets just say a new boss, new mobs, and even new items are on the way!

There will also now be a server crash log. This should help find the cause of any crashes that may happen, and help hosters make an even more stable server and client environment.

Expected release date is Friday.

What's yours that's getting destroyed? I did fall in a spike trap and demolish it, apologies if that was yours

My whole mushroom farm, the 2 beds, someone put a spike trap in the right tunnel and changing the signs with my name on it. im fed up with it and im packing already.

Yea, someone put spikes down both mine shafts. :/ Sucks.

Sooo while i was drowing the tunnel i made because some douche griefer didn't like it, i noticed that water only travels a certain horizontal distance, and ended up with something like this:



Oh well... Btw both tunnels (that i made) are filled with sand (and 1/5 of the horizontal tunnel with water) now, so sorry if it creates any inconvinience.

The main house is now walled up. I started constructing it last night and finished it a few minutes ago. I'll be putting furniture and stuff in in the next hour, so you guys can use that soon enough.

I hope that meteor didn't hit any of my stuff. ;x

Is the main house that building with the glass walls? I was really bored last night and ran into it and decided to throw down some torches/background walls. I accidentally broke a couple glass pieces and misplaced some walls though. >:

And no the meteor hitted the right portion of the map, right in the middle between the right border and original spawn point.

I persuaded Erich to let us play through a grueling Terraria platformer together. And he said yes!

The link to the world is here. Erich can make the announcement when it's up, but I don't know how long you guys want to take to play through it. I'm playing it right now on single-player and it's AWESOME. I can't imagine how much fun multiplayer with this will be. LOL.

You're all encouraged to make a new character and play through this without extra health or anything. Just to make it more challenging.

Anyone who owns Terraria should connect to Erich's in the next few days! We'll have a blast.

you pick bad times. also theres a griefer roaming in there too.

Stage 5. Baaaaaaalls.

So... my map file got corrupt. My .bak file too. If you guys doesn't know this bug, it consist in your map breaking and making a huge canyon which grow larger and larger. Also, opening treasure chests doesn't work anymore. I've lost my house and all the stuff in my chests. Blue acknowledged the bug, but even if it's fixed I really doubt my map will repair =/
