Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

I've played a few games as Gangplank and I really like him, he's fun - his ult just feels really mediocre and rather ineffective at times.

Item wise, I'm not too sure what to do. Sometimes I see people just stack a ton of crit and damage, but I've taken to getting Sheen/Triforce first. Afterwards, I get items like Atma's Impaler, Spirit Visage, Infinity Edge, and Ionian Boots. I've never had a game long enough where I need to drop the Philostone for a last item, but I'm thinking either a Bloodthirster or another Infinity Edge.

Anyone here playing Gangplank that can give me some tips?

On a side note, it seems players around my level are starting to catch on that TF is OP. I'm seeing one at least every game.

Carrying on Amumu on a losing team is getting totally ridiculous.

Oh and I found out the hard way about how GP is a huge cockblocker and a Denyplank (in new ways) when fed.

I believe I simply CAN'T use AD ranged champions, only one I don't suck with (don't read "can play" it's a don't suck) is Cait, but I've tried most of the rest and suck.
Ashe? SUCK MF? SUCK Corki? SUCK Tristana? SUCK I might do a little with Ez but it's same category as Cait.

I don't get it though, I can play Teemo greatly and he has short range dps...

I can play AD i just cant carry a game with them. Whenever i play one my score ends up like 2/8 and we lose ;-;

I did have 1 good Caitlyn game where i duo'd bot with a Jarvan and our team just did really well overall and nobody died for the 20mins till they surrendered, but any other game i play AD ive lost.

If you are good at short range you could try Sivir? Despite claims that shes awful at the moment if you farm up some lifesteal and attack speed she does pretty good.

Had a REALLY close game. 3 members on my team are at their nexus whaling on it, then then its at 33% toey win cause of TF ):/

Lol, I try to avoid playing ranged dps, but if I have to it's usually Ashe. I'm not terribad with her.
I'll just stick to Panth (and maybe noc this week).

I thought it'd be obvious that you CANNNOT WIN AGAINST A TF!

Just had to play with the worst duo queue, and im not talking about their skill im talking about the rudeness.

CONSTANTLY moaning about how im bad, how i cant tank, how i cant initiate, and how they have more health than me. Seriously i have never been in a game where negativity has been this bad.

I HATE when people say that when I'm tanking, late game amumu I can't be taken down unless it's 5v1 and even then they have a hard time, but there's always one idiot on my team saying "Lol I have more hp than our tank", well guess what, they're raping you cause they have 2 bloodrazors... /rant about a game

That's the most contradictory thing I've ever read!

played two games today, corki and lux.

Corki game went great, i was mid vs trist. Neither of us could get a kill on the other, but i out farmed her by a bit and got a kill on her later when ashe tried to gank me, but our garen and noc were both close by. Whole game was pretty much just push push push with a few little 3v3 fights, only had one 5v5 fight i think. I changed up my build and masteries a little bit compared to what i tried yesterday. went from 21/0/9 to 2/7/21(regi's guide). Cant really say that is what made the difference as it was only one game, but worth a shot.

Second game was lux, we had a jungle and they didnt so i ended up solo top vs blitz/shaco. it sucked, it was really dumb and it sucked lol. i died once but spent the whole time just sitting at my turret unable to do anything. At one point the lane pushed to my turret, the turret/i clear the minions and then the lane pushed all the fucking way to the enemy turret, so i had to just sit and do nothing for like 4 minutes. Got out leveled, they were both 6 by the time i was lvl 4. Nunu came top once and just pushed the lane, >.>. 20 minute surrender as rest of the team had a combined 10 deaths and 1 kill. I did out farm shaco tho lol

So just checked Solomid and saw the I HAVE 2000+ ELO guides (ranged DPS).

Ashe uses Last Whisperer, no iffs and buts or anything on using Black Cleaver.
Corki uses the Black Cleaver, but I suspect that has to do with his Gatling Gun.
Vayne uses Last Whisperer, though she is kind of bursty.
Teemo uses the Black Cleaver, but it is a hybrid build anyways.
Caitlyn has no 2000+ Elo guides >_>.


A lot of the forums are in general consensus of buying the Last Whisperer.
Since Caitlyn's closest counterpart if Ashe, it makes me want to always buy the Last Whisperer instead of the Black Cleaver I've generally been doing >_>.

Cleaver makes a bit more sense for Corki due to gatling and ArPen runes. Flat reduction is applied before percentile.

What blues should i get for panth?

You really should will, we made a great team actually, I have both replays if anyone wants.

Both games had two Vlads, the first game I was facing one without spell vamp (I love spell vamp Vlad) and the second time I was up against an Ashe. Neither could do much once I hit 9.

I was 11/1/4 on the first and 15/7/8 on the second. I hope I'm definitive proof panth is not UP.

Edit: His only REAL problem is lategame, where enemies clump together and its hard to hss without dying. Now when the game reaches that point I completely switch up my items and go tf-style backdoor champ.
