Doctor Who, Season 6

Having seen episode 7:
I hate Moffat so much right now ._.
Leaving us there for the next three months is NOT cool.

More to the point:

 Episode 7

A bit of fridge logic: When we saw River die in Forest of the Dead, she told Tennant!Doctor before she knocked him out something like "It'll happen too fast, I don't think you'll regenerate." Meaning that we don't know whether River regenerates or not. Which means that there's no way of knowing whether or not The Littlest Timelord is River / Melody or not.

And another thing- where does The Silence play into all of this? They're clearly involved, they had kid!Melody, they were present at future!Doctor's death, and they have their own bloody Tardises meaning they can throw a monkey wrench into anything at will...

WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING WITH THIS?!?

Melody and River look nothing alike, so she can regenerate, most likely. Also, in "Silence in the Library," when she goes to sacrifice herself in the Doctor's place, she says;

Doctor: Easy! I’ll hook myself up to the computer! She can borrow my memory space!
River: Difficult! It’ll kill you stone dead!
Doctor: Easy to criticize.
River: It’ll burn out both your hearts, and don’t think you’ll regenerate!
Doctor: This is not a joke. Stop this now. This is gonna kill you! I’d have a chance!
River: You wouldn’t have chance and neither would I!

It explains why she couldn't regenerate in "Silence in the Library" but she was able to regenerate when she escaped that life support suit as a child. The options are still open but this explanation makes the most sense to me.

 Episode 7

When I first met the Doctor, a long, long time ago.....he knew all about me.
Think about that. Impressionable young girl, and suddenly this man just drops out of the sky, he's clever and mad and wonderful and knows every last thing about her.

Imagine what that does to a girl.

Remember this bit from the 1st episode this season? Put this together with the Doctor's claim that he can "speak Baby" and you get the most extreme example of cradle snatching that I've had the misfortune of witnessing. I need brain bleach.

Anyhow, what's going to happen to the clerics? They're against the Doctor now, but will think of the Doctor as an ally in Time of the Angels (which is presumably set after this ep). Hmm. I keep getting the urge to start drawing diagrams.

Can't believe Amy was a Ganger all this time. Now where the hell is Amy being held? Nice way to hide her baby stomach though. Also the whole episode was such a mind screw. Couldn't keep up with who was who until near the end.

They gave a very ambiguous ending for the flesh Doctor and Cleaves. Implications the flesh Doctor will be making a return?! Wait, was the 1,100 year old Doctor that got killed by the Astronaut a remade flesh Doctor, just made real with the power of the TARDIS?!?

I still like the theory that the girl isn't Melody/River, but River and the Doctor's daughter.

I just got into watching Doctor Who. Saw it on Netflix three weeks ago.. Watched everything from Season 1~6. In three weeks. I'm on Torchwood now, season 2.

I really loved how the plot thickened in the last episode. Bringing in allies from all over time, I especially liked the Captain and his son barging in! Amy's daughter being a flesh ganger. Also on the credits of this last episode, did anyone else realize that Rory didn't have a last name? My only speculation would be that he is related to Hitler in some way for the next episode entitled Let's Kill Hitler. I cannot wait for September to arrive and the last 6 episodes!!

But yeah, confirmation that Hilter wasn't a metaphor... looks like there's going to be some alternate history stuff? Not sure.

I await what mad twist Moffat is going to pull on us for the 2nd half of the season.
