Did the internet partially kill gaming?

Mario galaxy was a great spin off on an old concept, it's refreshing in that sense. Things like pikman and scribblenaughts are examples of something that is, outside of the "BIG EXPLOSIONS" box every other company is trying to fall into.

TBH I'd rather save the X amount of money it cost to make those remakes and just play the old game again, I get what you're saying but that's just my view (sort of off topic: How do you feel about Galaxy 2). Though I can't agree that EVERY other company does big explosions nor is Nintendo excluded from it (they just make their big explosions more "cartoony").

I actually liked it, the concept of adding yoshi just won it over for me. I enjoyed those games because it took what I grew up with, modernized it, and made it more colorful.

Assassins creed was also original and had a well thought plot, prince of persia as well.
