E3 Discussion

I'm a little late to the party, as I'm vacationing right now, but I never really had THAT high expectations of Nintendo this year considering I was pretty sure they went through the backburner of good games and announcements last year. With what they did bring to the table, I found to be pretty good and definitely nothing to undermine. Nintendo has always acted in a way that they won't announce a game usually unless it's first party and releasing in the span of half a year to year and half before delays. So yeah, nice press conference. Still catching up on all the news.

NOW it's officially confirmed that Pikmin 3 is in the works!

As it was at least years E3, and the year before that. Miyamoto has said it's been in the works for at least 2 years prior to this, possibly 3.

As for the paper mario partner thing, I'm starting to think they might be temporary rather than the perma ones we've seen before.



Edit: And now nintendo has confirmed that they haven't even started work on smash brothers 3DS or Wii u. Totally pointless announcement that was then...

:/ I'm actually kind of disappointed with the Paper Mario 3DS trailer. It doesn't really look like the same experience as the original or Thousand Year Door.

He said it in the roundtables every time, just like this year. It's always been pretty ignorable since they never had so much as a single screenshot to show for it.

No, I don't. Sony didn't "make it happen", anyone with a basic understanding of 3D, like I said before, could do this themselves and have been doing it. You realize all Sony is doing there is, in basic terms, switching out the lens so one player only sees the Left image while the other player sees the Right? Except they're making you pay for $100+ glasses to do this? You could just go snag some crappy plastic 3d shades you have lying around and skip the bullpomegranate.

Hell, even Microsoft discussed it earlier this year, with even more advanced techniques using head tracking:

$100+? Try $70 (which, yeah, isn't great but it's better than some companies). And uh, these 3D glasses aren't the same as the crappy red/blue ones. You know that, right?
