I have to remind everyone this is with maxed Bazooka, Overburn, Double Dice on 5s, and maximum basic critical damage on a monster with no defense with a primary mob skill. And I accidentally overguessed the bonus Double Dice would give. It should be 1.3x damage correct? Then the top range would be about 56k.
Buster on the other hand requires 114k top range.
For comparison, a Corsair hitting the damage cap with Torpedo needs 62k and a Marksman needs 32k with Pierce and SE, and both of these characters only hit once with this skill. This job does have pretty high base damage, but the percentile of playerbase that would be affected by the damage cap is so miniscule it's not worth considering, and if they really actually care about damage being done, they would recognise that a) there are limits such as the damage cap that can't be funded past and b) this character class is, for all intents and purposes as we have seen here, designed to not be a single target dps character. This is further emphasised by the fact that it has no single target skills whatsoever.
