E3 Discussion
ShiKage Wrote:I'm pretty sure that's Vaati, according to this picture : http://images.wikia.com/zelda/images/f/f...h_Cap).png

They're pretty similar, except the Minish Cap version wears more clothes.

I'm not saying it isn't, but except for the hylian ears, they look nothing alike. Maybe the skin colour being similarish... but thats it. Extreme lack of the shiekah eye symbol we normally get around vaati too.

Baklava Wrote:I don't care about what new tech doodles they show. I think Nintendo sucks balls for making the (wi)iPad and not showing the new console at all.
I just want to see vidya games, god damn it.

What are you supposed to say about it really though? "Heres a new white box, it'll play games and they'll look prettier than wii games"
... yeah. The real show is in the controller, hardware specs haven't mattered seriously since this gen began (except when you're lagging behind), and the information on what the console can do, they can either throw a bunch of numbers at you which mean jack pomegranate, or they can show off games.

Showing off games wins every time, and thats what nintendo did.

Also, guess what guys? E3 isn't for you. It's for corporations. Why do you think it's in a theater, and it's a presentation? That's PAX, that's for the fans and for promotion. The idea for all of this is to get followers in the corporate world, but it's to the point where it's a big event for everyone. Despite that, in the heart of it it's still for investors.

And man, I have to say I hate how everyone's having orgasmic reactions to all this. It's fine to be happy that after an off-season they're doing things, and that they're learning, but it doesn't mean that you have to say everything else is horrible and that Nintendo is gonna rule the pineappleing industry. They took the cake. There's still things outside Nintendo that are good.

Are you resisting the word of Reggie?

You're kind of on the right track, Erich. The showing off of new consoles is to try to gain interest from third-party companies and to get them to develop games for those systems.

They do present new video games and have demos for the fans as well, which is why you see things like The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword, which have already been through the production sequence.

It's a good thing the JTV stream kept the past recording of the Ninty E3. I don't get to miss anything from oversleeping!

Oh, I was confused because Justin put it with a video of OoT.
Still, doesn't look like Vaati. I liked hooded, emo, sadistic Vaati better than FAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS Vaati.

No it isn't. E3, at the very least the conferences, are meant for the public now. 10, maybe even 5 years ago it was for corporations, now its definetly a huge publicity event. Thats why there are live streams on virtually every gaming site, for us to get a look at it. Thats why nintendo even goes as far as to make a dedicated site for e3, aimed directly at the gamers, not buisness men

You're half on track there, yourself. Not every game at E3 is fully done. There's still a month or two that it might get some refinement, and a month or two up to four or five months till it finally releases.

Did you not read what I said? I said it's been getting more geared towards gamers, for the sake of killing two birds with one stone, but E3 is still an exclusive event. Wy would it be an exclusive event if it wasn't made for gamers, if it wasn't made for just the media? It's killing two birds with one stone. Do your homework, as i've learned to do.

Keep in mind that there's a difference between artistic styles, the difference between aging of the series and development, the fact that this would be the only non-2D top-down game Vaati would be shown in, and the fact that Vaati is a shape-shifter. Also that there's probably a huge time gap between this and Minish Cap, which would mean a difference in appearance.

I didn't say every game at E3 is fully developed. lol

But the idea is, that what I said IS correct. There's still a lot of work between being done, making contracts/doing paperwork, publishing it, shipping it, and finally releasing it. There's a lot of friends they could make here that would make that go a lot smoother, and in cases just wouldn't happen without.

Also, press release for nintendo leaked.

Did you even see the other stuff sony brought to the table? Like this

Also the new psp will play video games, but why should sony shoot itself in the leg by only showing a small libary? Also the price is just right. I was expecting to pay around $500 for this because the specs are better than most smart phones out atm.

Sony didn't bring that to the table, any 3D TV can do that. The idea has been around since their invention.

Maybe they came up with it? Even if they didn't, they're still the ones to pioneer it. They're first, and it'll almost always be known as that to them.

Einstein theorized the laser in 1918, but it wasn't until later scientists added on to that, and made it happen for real, that it happened. Both parties got credit, and sometimes the latter got more credit. See the analogy?

I'm guessing they made it that simple on purpose for us to guess.

JTV sucks. Tongue You can get past recordings from the major gaming sites anyway... and usually in higher quality.
