I wouldn't say that for sure. They didn't really show much in the way of games we didn't know were coming. We got what, luigis mansion?> Everything else we knew about beforehand.

This is probably the first year I could say that everyone was on an equal level playing field. It wasn't about winning this time for them, I think it was just trying to put more content out for all of them (Which I know is always the main focus of E3, present more to the people) but it wasn't a competition this year.

Well... after hearing G4TV's interview with Reggie, I do have renewed hope of how Nintendo will make WiiU the next big thing. I just wish they didn't troll about with the new console and such.

Then again, I have a feeling now that they'll really show and emphasize the true capability of the new console next E3. That would make this year nothing more than a teaser of the new console by showing the controller you can play with it.

They didn't say smash bros would be out this year, hell, they didn't even show a screenshot of it, and since theres going to be one on 3DS and Wiiu (possibly the same one, they weren't very clear), it's not going to make it out this year. And I'm more excited for paper mario than any of the ones that you mentioned.

On the other hand, nintendo does normally give out a few other smaller tidbits nad announcements in the 2 days following the conference, so lets wait and see.

Someone made a damm point when they said Nintendo is doing a weird move by releasing a controller that's at least as potent as their recently released handheld. Why didn't they just give away the 3DS idea and released the WiiU controller/console/whatever as their new handheld? They could have released the console and announced the compatibility of the 2 to expand each other's power, which would have obligated people to buy the two for the best experience. Most of the people I know bought or is buying a 3DI for the new tittles that will come for it, not for the damm 3D so they could have given up on that if necessary.

Meh. Since there wasn't any info of the actual new console in this E3 I can't help but give the trophy to sony for this year

Probably pre E3 beliefs of nintendo, but another prior post showed what seems to be a more accurate representation of what Wii U is going to be. plus in an interview on gametrailers.com with Reggie, he specifically said no blue ray capabilities, but significant usage of HDMI.

Reserving my final judgment about Nintendo's new console until we finally get to see it. I hope that super backwards compatibility is true.

You think if they didn't want this stuff leaked to people not in teh press, they'd change the password from nitendo, instead of leaving it as is for 4 years running so far...
