Unscheduled Server Maintenance - 06.06.2011

Well I just lost my motivation to continue playing Maple and trying to hit 200. Game's done, NexonNA doesn't care anymore. Guess I'll reinstall DFO then.

It feels kind of hopeless. Not even I can easily stomach this, and I'm pretty die hard. I'd try DFO, but the region block and ancient stupid p2p system stops that xD.

Yeah, I mean I've been playing for over 5 years and I've never been this angered / depressed about the state of Maple until this fiasco. I don't know if anyone was on the Nexon forums when the game came back up, but my god it was hilarious. Massive topics about Nexon's latest fail on this exploit.

Lol, this is why I didn't bother trying to redownload Maple when my patch failed to execute... (That and my internet likes to fail on the downloads now)

In fact, I PREDICTED this would happen. I'm not surprised I was right. I was hopeful for the event but with so many exploits, I am not at all surprised people ruined this one because they were too greedy and Nexon's too incompetent to even TRY to fix it and the economy (or they try to fix it but they could honestly do a much better job at it...).

Game's not worth it anymore. The Archer Jump update kept me interested, but if the game hasn't straightened up by then (doubt it, lol), I doubt I'll be coming back.

With this crap going on, I'm not sure if I should come back to MS. I might just quit for good. Too much bullcrap going on. I pretty much moved on. =\

This is really the first time I have been to disgusted with the game to play....I used to pride myself on being a legit player and now I actually regret not buying the duped items when they were cheap.

this honestly, i am honest to goodness getting tired of being legit, this is the X time i get screwed over for not taking advantage of it, honestly, i could use a copy of my 17% crit glaive. but for not doing crap thinking "nexon will do something!" now i still have one glaive, bunch of people have 27 attk VSS's, and hackers have a few thousands on their pockets. GG

Using hack items is not the problem here. Its all the effort put in to the game. Finally getting a 21 attack glove after waiting for vega scroll/pam events to come back, it may have taken out a good chunk of your maple money, but it was earned the legit way.

Its just overwhelming that the gap between those who spend more than the average player is even bigger now. Those who were able to buy cheap 27 att glove vss etc Capitalize on this event. I would never imagine 27 att vss being so easily obtainable last week.

Eh, I don't particularly care, either. I'm not really into the high-tier item scrolling that a lot of the forum community is. I'm more content just playing at my leisure. Every game has its hackers and trolls. A fact of life.

Pretty much this. Life will move on, the game will move on it all straightens itself out eventually.

This is sadly the biggest reason I have for quitting. What's my work worth when so many people get it for basically no effort?

That's what the main problem is. It takes zero balls to use a hacked item, Nexon has no teeth.

Until they get serious with punishment for hackers the hacking will continue and "legit" players will buy this stuff up when the hackers are unloading it before the sc. Nexon's main punishment is deletion of the item, how sad is that. Either you get away with it or you're down a few pennies because that's all the hackers charge.

I didn't buy anything duped but part of me definitely wishes I had seen them in the mts.

I think the point is that if you're legit and worked hard for your stuff and levels, you wouldn't risk it all by buying some illegit pomegranate off the MTS because Nexon has a history of fail upon fail.

What if they suddenly start acting like a real company (extremely highly improbable, but w/e) and ban everyone that has those stuff? The illegits that bought them wouldn't care less, since their stuff and levels took them no effort at all, but I seriously wouldn't want to lose all of my chars and items that I legitly made/bought.

Fixing the problem and getting the servers up doesn't mean they don't have retribution planned. Or did you forget some 27 att unique VSS users were perma'd after last mass dupe session?
