Fire or Water?

I'd choose Fire since I'd get burnt up so quickly, I won't feel the pain. Choosing Water will make me feel the pain of being drowned.

I "would" have said water, since the body starts getting kind of high from lack of oxygen and the person stops feeling any pain and dies a relatively happy death; however, as a former swimmer it would be like a sin for me to die by drowning, so I'll have to go with fire so that my pride won't be tarnished.

Though, ideally I'd prefer to die in my sleep, but I wasn't given that option.

Well now hang on. Are you dying by being blasted to incineration (9000 mph) or slow roasted? Are you being blasted to oblivion by a water jet similar to the ones used to cut steel or drowned in a pool?
