Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

I'm starting to like Singed more and more. Get him built up fairly nice and he can just tower dive for the fling, like a boss.
Plus the W bluffing shenanigans is awesome. Make them waste a summoner.

Played some ranked games today.

I had first pick and Amumu was left unbanned, so I took him instantly. My team fed a LOT early game and I'm amazed we came back.

My score looks really bad, but I actually played really well. The enemy team focused me every fight and I always died first, but not before everyone else on my team dealt out a ton of damage. I tried my best not to take any kills and because of that, the gold value for killing me quickly became close to nothing.

Ashe and I carried. Not much to say, really. Finally got back to 1200 elo this game - I ended up dropping it below 1200 by duo queuing with some 1k elo guy on my list. Lost games with someone below your rating REALLY hurts your elo if you lose.

On a side note, someone please explain to me why anyone who gets the bans in ranked simply just bans tanks (and Eve, but that one makes sense at least). I asked someone once, and the only answer I got was;

"What else am I supposed to ban?"

@Will, singed is well worth the IP. Works well in pretty much any team comp, can run in and fling one person out, your team stuns them and they are dead. He is also very good in lane, pretty easy to farm and super annoying to play against. You build pretty much the standard tank items, with rod of ages and rylai's both being good on him as well. His passive does give him bonus health per 10 mana(number might be wrong but you get the idea) so banshees, frozen heart and RoA are all very good. But dont let his passive deter you from getting force of nature/sunfire/omen. Just make sure you are getting what works best vs the enemy team.

It's not even possible to be that bad with a character that has a spammable heal...

That guy just proved you wrong.

Also, it's a 52.5 base HP healing iirc, which requires a target. Spam this in the span of 10 seconds, it's a suboptimal heal compared to heal skills.

Get a Hextech Revolver though, and this becomes a self-heal that's somewhat better than other heal skills.

His Poison is annoying enough without any AP, that's what's nice.
When people pick a jungler and there's no tanks on team I take Singed, he's not a main tank but he doesn't suck at it really, I start with Tear of goddess so I can keep poison up most of the time and get some of that mana:HP passive, then I start building defense according to enemy. Once I have enough defense I build Archangel, if we're stomping enemy I get a Rylai's since poison slow is awesome.

Yea its perfectly fine to build a couple ap items, i usually start out with a dorans shield, then get boots of swiftness, and then i go right into a rod of ages, then i build tanky, and finish my build off with rylais, ill get rylais early if im stomping pretty good. Usually after dorans shield i get a frozen heart unless im facing a heavy ap team

Yes but if you aren't tanky in the first place, you're worthless as singed.
He needs to be buff, good ap items on him are rylai and RoA.
And @ above, why would you want boots of swiftness over mercs? I never understood that choice, especially not on a tank like singed. Not like the dude lacks movespeed.
And i personally wouldnt start with doran's ring, some hp regen would help a lot more, atleast that's my experience.

Most items are situational for a tank, never just go for the same over and over and over, some enemies require different items.
vs some teams FoN>BV for example.

And rabadons?... No.
AA? No and i don't like guardian angel myself but it's fine.

I have 25% spell vamp and around 700 AP at the end of a game.

Yeah, it is a suboptimal heal spell. It does damage, though.

Anyways, just played a game with Bob. I was on Singed, he was on Renekwin. We were laning together. Even though my score was lackluster - I went 1-2-2 - both of us forced the top to turret hug, effectively denying them farm while me and Bob got farmed up. Meanwhile, quite a few of my teammates got farmed/fed heavily on bottom, snagging a good number of kills. They were able to push up to the second row of towers on bottom and destroy it. The other team surrendered after we pushed and destroyed their mid inhibitor.

Lots of room for improvement on Singed. But he is indeed a good champ to use and abuse, especially in the trolling farming/harassing department.

Yes but that doesnt mean they are needed in every game, sometimes other items help out so much more. Even randuin>Frozen heart sometimes.

As singed rylais> roa imo. Rylais gives you more utility and survivability (not sure about the survivability part, but I'd assume so.)
I think the best way to build him is to go almost full out tank with just a single ap item like rylais for the extra damage. He can literally run around the whole map with Q on and farm to his hearts content and become god.

Yep. This explains it pretty well, haha. Rylai is amazing because one thing is being fast, but you want your allies to be able to catch up to you as well.

So much whining about Eve popping up on the forums now <_<

Can tell when her rework comes out she will have no stun or steroid and will be regarded useless for the 2nd time.

I wait for the 4v5s to start forming, then i catch the squishies. Even if i die the rest of my team clean up. I also catch people on their own and kill them. Only time Eve becomes a liability is if she didnt get fed enough to get her trinity.
