We will be performing routine maintenance onMapleStory on June 1st, 2011. During this period,all game serverswill be unavailable.Thegamemaintenance will last approximatelyfour and a halfhours. Name changes and world transfers will be processed during this maintenance.

-What-

The following will be unavailable:

-Changes-
- The amount of Cake Pieces and Pie Pieces that must be turned in to start the town battles has been considerably reduced.
- The amount of 6th Anniversary Insignias given after the attack and defense team battle is now based on who won the battle in which you participated instead of your faction's performance.
- The amount of EXP given after the town battles has been increased.
- You must talk to your faction NPC now in the exit room after a town battle in order to receive both the insignias and the EXP.
- The Cake vs. Pie boss battle waiting room has been modified to only allow the maximum number of fighters from each team that can participate in the battle. Remember, each channel has its own waiting room and boss battles!
- The maximum number of players in each boss battle has been reduced to ten from each faction (twenty players maximum total per battle).
- The amount of time to pick up the rewards in a boss battle has been increased by several seconds.

-Fixes-
- The problem of the Cake and Pie bosses sometimes not appearing in the boss battle has been fixed.

-New Cash Shop Items-

Won't matter if the "Takeover" timer is still 1 hour. They might as well just reduce it to 30min or something if they really want more battles due to the lack of participation this time around.

Also I just realized that the bug fixes don't mention anything about the "Broken status effect skills" glitch.

Hopefully the 2x Point Cards aren't too expensive. Looking forward to actually participating in it this year since I've been away from Maple the past few times they've had it.

IIRC, the 7 day one is 10k NX, which is all you really need anyways unless you plan on spending more NX for x2 drop cards.

Too bad they didn't actually balance the event.

Attacking team always wins, more 4th jobbers on one side always beats the boss fastest.

These events just plain suck.

Foolish Mapler, you're supposed to spend all your time artifact-hunting in between Cake vs. Pie battles. You don't need those skills distracting you, tempting you to boss or train.

Confirming it's just like KMS? (chance at leveling from picking up artifacts)

I just read the nexon site but I can't seem to find anything about it.
Am I missing something somewhere?

Or should I get my eyes checked? o.o

Look at the prizes, they're the same freaking prizes as the artifact hunt from 2009. We didn't get the face accessory or better glasses and hat. I'mma be pissed as hell if the Top 10 medal is the same as well.

This event isn't even worth it if you have 3line level 31+ eye wear. Leave it to NexonNA to nerf the ONE event I was looking forward to the most.

Ah no wonder, I also found a tiny piece of information on the Cake VS Pie page but not much info was given.
