Well the monster levels DO increase as you go further down the item world, but they only increase by floors. Item Levels gained by the other 3 methods only increase the Item Levels, but not the monster levels.

Yeah I got that. Also the freaking increase by equipping same rarity equipment is huge. 5000+ atk for 0 rarity fist and armor? Yes PLEASE.

Hell yeah, just wait until you get to the super endgame and start perfecting Rank 40 rarity 0 equipment, you'll gain a few extra million stats to boot.

Just got my 0 rarity macho fist to level 200 on the 100th floor of its dungeon after running the pineapple away from a level 9999 Z Pirate (highest level for me is 1706)

Duplicating it now (at least I think this is the type of duplication someone referred to, I haven't looked anything up but it seemed like a pretty obvious method) so that I can combine citizens.

It shouldn't take much to do 1m+. Keep grinding chars, equipment, reincarnating characters for better stats etc. and you'll be hitting plenty over 10m soon.

RNG just decided to deny you from breaking 1mil+ damage, that's all. There's no "secret" method.

Hunting pirates is a pain. Need Wise Innocents, Eryngi, Cleaners, Horizon, UFO Pirates(?) (not UFO(?)), Pirate Club, Kitty Cat, Element, Shinsengumi, Red, Prinny, 10 Gents, and Baal

Prinny, 10 Gents, and Baal pirates only appear in LoC at Item floor 90+ and they are SUPER ULTRA RARE! I've only ran into Prinny Pirates once, the other two zero, and I've been at 90+ for 5+ hours now, just resetting if I failed to find any.

If you're having a lot of trouble running into Item World pirates, max out the "PPP" Club. More members = higher chance at running into pirates.
You can increase the club member cap by 2-3 by visiting the mystery classroom in the Class World on Floor 10 by clearing all Geo Blocks.

That's not really a spoiler. Also I don't really care about spoilers, I just don't like people walking me through a game (someone else before was telling me what I SHOULD do instead of what I CAN do)

lol, have fun with LoC. It's the only way you can get access to rank 40 equipment.

Unrelated to OP, but I ordered Disgaea DS because of Sarah's seal of approval on this series. Hoping it's fun! Is there any nooby hints before I start playing?

Yeah, Mages and any other "INT" based classes suck in the Disgaea series lol

The game explains most of your concerns / questions in the early portion, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Also the gameplay has gotten progressively better throughout the series so you might find 1 to be a little disappointing but don't let that discourage you from checking out 2/3/4 if you get the chance.

I thought in 2 that mages were stupidly op'd. All the vids I watched have people blasting peta level magic everywhares.

Also, forgot to exit floor 99 of my legendary rank 39 fist, thus leading to the god not holding the rank 40 fist.
