Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Had a pretty fun night queuing with derosis and purplefire tonight. 3 wins 0 losses.
Just played a game with Berzerk and Kaj.

Early game, Noc is being a tryhard at trying to shut me down at jungle. Luckily I've been jungling with Amumu for a long time now that I usually have backup plans in place if shet happens. So Noc ganks me at red, gets me. Though he gets instagibbed by Kaj, Berzerk, and another teammate afterwards.

Noc still is being a tryhard as early game goes on. He gets my blue buff, but when I was at Dragon, I saw Noc and 1-2 other people coming towards my way. After I finished Dragon, I went up, threw my Bandage, brought myself in front of his fugly face, and ulted (had teammates right behind me). Then I proceeded to steal his blue buff, then red buff after wiping them out in a brief teamfight. =D

At the 20 minute mark, there's a teamfight. So I went in, initiated, and pretty much forced the enemy team to target me. Tanking role achieved. While they were trying to take me out (win for me and my team, even though I died; fail for them, targeted the wrong person, mission accomplished!), Kaj had his trap set up already. He pretty much unleashed his entire spell cycle, getting a quadra-kill in the process, while I killed MF and died at the same time from her. xD

They surrendered afterwards.
3-0 tonight for normal with randoms.

1 as ryze since I noted I was gonna be on purple team D:
Getting better at fighting others. Drove back the top lane pretty harshly with Tryn on my side. Sona kept getting caught in my rune prison so we made easy work of her. We pushed mid pretty easily and the other team gave up

2 as nidalee

1st game: 26? mins
Boy does her spear hurt the others. Went glass cannon on her and did my job destroying HP bars with her spear xD All the squishies lost half their HP each time I'd hit em lol. Other team gave up rather quickly.

2nd game as nidalee went on for 55 minutes T.T
My god. sorcs, abyss scepter, 2 deathcaps, and a FoN for the mres. My spears HURT them badly, but like... half their team flashed towards me JUST to kill me during team fights D: I'd go down, but they went down once our amumu ulted in their dumass clustered faces xD
WillDaSnail Wrote:I'll take that statement with a grain of salt. Especially coming from a person that consistently has bad results and has very low number of wins. Nothing personal, sir. Just stating what I see. Rolleyes

My low win number is due to a bad/crappy training regimen my first 12 levels, hence a huge handicap at level 20. It's been suggested that I start over with a smurf account until I get to level 20 before continuing on my main. I am seriously considering it as I don't want to keep playing and having a BAD win/loss ratio. Then again, I've been constantly told that there are even worse level 30's, so, I don't know. I just want to be a better player so I have way better games than not. Just give me time, I will become way better (as some of you have already noticed, I'm much improved from 2 months ago when I came back to the game from not being on for > 6 months).

Look at it this way, at least I'm not just going in on games for the mere hack'n'slash of it like I was in the beginning, in which I really didn't care to know/learn how this game is supposed to be played. I was on for being on because MS was down for whatever reason. Now I'm on it to really learn about the game and be more strategic and just not go in blind and die unnecessarily. The notion of being a "feeder" really started to bother me, that's why I decided to become a real and better player. At least I can admit to having a very bad start in this game. I'm sure most bad players would never cop to that nor would they even bother/care to learn how to be a better player.
Thread on the LoL forum. Want you guys to give your opinions as well.

What is this? Copyright infringement claim bull? On a serious note, I don't think it looks like what it claimed to be.

Karma + Amumu (Me) carrying + assisting

Early game, Karthus was a huge problem. He was getting kills from his ult while in Death Defied mode. Multi kills too. God damn. >_>

Karma got fed early on, and she could effectively support and kill very hard at the same time. We synergized together really well. She saved my ass quite a few times with leash and her shield, and I helped her secure kills.

While Karma was hammering away, I was killing a lot too, Doing a lot of chasing, bandage tossing, crying, tantrum.....good stuff. TF was pretty much instagibbing whenever he could with his ult.

First thing we had to do was to shut down Karthus ASAP, and gtfo off his corpse. We did that quite a few times, and that somewhat minimized the damage he could have dealt back to us. By mid-game, we had things in check.

By late game, game was pretty much decided.

One thing I see from you as a player is that you have to up your game way faster. Kaj once told me that this game has a huge-ass learning curve, and I'm sure you probably know this by now. I know you're improving and whatnot, but you gotta start kicking it up a notch starting now.

I think, Foopah, you should come and ask us on LoL-related things more often on this thread. We rarely see you here. We have a thriving LoL community here in Southperry, and you should be thankful that we have people here who play a huge variety of champs, and are willing to help you if you ask. My point is, if you don't seek the help you need, you will not improve. You probably asked for help from others, but its OK to ask for more help if you need it. I did that when I started playing, and it helped tremendously. Being exposed to a variety of strategies, item builds, play styles, etc do enrich your knowledge and gameplay experience in LoL, even though if you don't agree on one player's interpretation of a champ's item build and play style, for instance. (Example: Me using Wriggles on jungle Rammus and >Pineapple disagreeing with me on it. In the end, we still disagree, but I can see why >Pineapple doesn't like Wriggles on a jungle Rammus).

Also, people will know who you are. This turns into many perks for you.

At the very least, start learning how to play smart. I don't like making assumptions in the first place, but I'm saying this based on your match record.

I didn't know that there was one until very recently, and I've been reading the back posts to see what I can learn from others playing as well. It is interesting to see what people are doing to gain experience in this game and I believe it will be helpful.

One thing, I have been playing more smart, and teaming up with people I know to train up and become a better player, not just on a champion. I'm slowly expanding out to other champions to learn the different methodology in playing this game, but as Kaj has pointed out, there is a huge learning curve, and I'm still on that curve.

As for my match record, that's what you get when you train wrong/badly in the beginning. 12 levels of that does that to you. My play record lately has been WAY better since I've started playing smarter/more aware.

I've gotten lots of great advice these past 2 months, mostly Jin helping me train and Josh pitching in when he can. Give me a few months, and my record will start reflecting the changes I've undergone.

Heh, don't worry too much. As Kaj can attest, when I started out, I too went the bot route, and was pretty horrible at playing with people. Now, while I can't say I'm anywhere near Kaj's level, I am far better than I was. Took me a lot of time and a lot of games to get here, but it's far from impossible. Probably my biggest issue now is skill shots. Though some of that is due to my internet. Anyway, lots of experience will help more than almost any advice can after a certain point, but it never hurts to queue up with some people and duo lane so you can get some critiques.

You asked the wrong question again. I don't care if it can be considered a reference to because it obviously CAN be a considered a reference to it because they're both about turtles dressed like Pineappleing ninjas. Just because they have that theme in common doesn't prove it's INTENDED to be a TMNT skin. Again, I'm only saying that it's not a tmnt skin. It only has the theme of the tmnt skin and looks nothing like an actual turtle from the series, which is what all the other skins have in common. There's no surefire way to find out if they wanted it to be tmnt other than asking riot themselves.

When you look at any of the other skins you'll say and think immediately OMG LOOK ITS BOWSER or whatever char it looks like a copy of. You won't with ninja rammus because it looks nothing like a tmnt. You'll only think oheytmnt because it's a turtle dressed like a ninja, but that can be used without being directly related to tmnt. IE: Skin is indirectly POSSIBLY related to tmnt, not directly and definitely.

on another note I'm happy to see brand is getting play in the championship qualifiers.
 Fun game with Derosis

I got a triple kill right before they quit, twas very nice. Also, It's nice to see I have more wins than losses now. Tongue
While you guys have fun I'm going to and tank for piece of pomegranate teams like these.

When Lux said "WOW SOMEONE THAT PICKS TANK I AM IN HEAVEN LOL" in champ select, I knew this was going to be a tough game. Bottom tower went down at 11:30. I was top with an MF who tower hugged WHEN THE MINIONS WERE AT THE OTHER TOWER. Basically a solo lane, so I pineappleed up Teemo and Nasus, was 6/0/1 about twenty minutes in. MF continued to recall AS SOON AS she could buy an item. Eventually we stopped laning and started teamfighting, which is when Garen and Nasus repeatedly tried to 1v4 them instead of waiting for me. I'm not going to Stand United when you're trying to pineappleing 1v4, waste of an ult. Garen SPAMMED his ult. He didn't care how much HP his target had, if they were in range and it wasn't on cooldown a giant sword was going to slam into an opponent to deal 4 damage. Nasus thought his ult made him invincible. MF was a non-factor, as was Lux. They focused me, I pineappleed them up with Thornmail, Sunfire, and Randuin's. Team basically refused to help.

REST OF TEAM COMBINED FOR 19 KILLS
Just watched a full match of CLG vs Epik, it was pretty interesting but Epic's Corki dced for a long time and that cost them the game.

Play a tank that can carry. ex: Cho, galio, rumble(?)
or just play a carry.
Is it worth it to ward when your lane partner never takes notice of a person being picked up by said wards about to gank our lane?

Feels like a waste of 75g i could put somewhere else since they get more gold killing my lane partner.

Oh and people need to stop raging at me because i didnt waste my amumu ult on 1 person i know we cant kill lol ._.
Ping the location that the enemy is at when they're on your ward.

And how does an amumu ult not= a kill? Unless they have qss or cleanse and flash up
>Pineapple' Wrote:Ping the location that the enemy is at when they're on your ward.

And how does an amumu ult not= a kill? Unless they have qss or cleanse and flash up

Sometimes people tell you "Y U NO ULT!?" when it was against Alistar at half HP, with ult probably up and the one who wants the ult is a MF who doesn't have her ult up and has been pushing with lucky last hits.
>Pineapple' Wrote:And how does an amumu ult not= a kill? Unless they have qss or cleanse and flash up

They have escape summoners, we dont have enough damage as 2 to warrent its useage.

This is still in laning phase btw. I dont hesitate to use it in teamfights or to catch stragglers after one went down.
inb4 "Observer mode" is the reason why people are DCing as shown just a few minutes ago with RS Locust crashing due to Phreak's "Observer Mode" :|

EDIT: Jiji and Doublelift DC'd as well, inb4 Observer Mode!

I have a few issues with my latency as well. ~110ms per game, as low as 9#ms very rarely. Mostly due to being ~16,000ft from my CO. Telco won't stick me on the RT that's 1000ft away, unless I upgrade to U-Verse and pay 10x more for inet access, so screw that. I'll live/deal with the lag. Becoming more aware of the game also tends to make aware of other players who are on there for shenanigans and nothing else. I'm on a 5 game losing streak as I write this, from winning the first game of my morning and then going downhill since then. I can see why some people /ragequit when the team they get stuck in on random gameplay is crappy.

Well, GMS is eventing, and I can't find a screen to grind on, so I'm gonna be on LoL. If anyone wants, please add me, say hi, and help me be a better player! kthnx rawr. ^_^
I'm assuming your ign is Foopah?
