Maple leaves are still dropping

even after the 7.5 hour server maintenance / patch.
I wouldn't be surprised if Notebooks were still dropping as well.

Take some of the best leaves and press them in your notebook.

Yeah, notebooks are still dropping... absolute nothing changed during the SC, exept for 4 CS items in the "new" section. I gotta admit I never saw that overall before... is that really new? :o

Doesn't it take a patch to remove drops though?

Doubtful, I remember during the first maple anniversary, they ended up giving Cold Eyes the Cerberus drop table, but it was fixed almost immediately in a server check.

God I hate those damn leaves. The only fun part of them is trying to collect them during a Zakum run from killing summons. Other than that, annoying.

They can remove it by server checks by setting its droprate to 0.

It's because they want you to buy the "don't pick that **** up!" item for your pet in the CS.

It was a good thing they did it to change the maple weapon drops. That could potentially screw ANY server's economy reallly fast. I don't think the leaves would do much considering they're only, what, 1k per leaf?

But man, I remember those drops. I still have a mule full of maple weapons.

You only need a patch to bring drops into maple that weren't in the .wz files before.

They can alter (or remove) the droprate of the excisting items server sided, with a Server Check. They don't need a patch for that.

I think its because of the bera server.... So server instability issues, problems with hardware???

My guess:
It was supposed to be a server update ("patch" - but only server-side).
Something went very wrong.
Somebody decided to go back to the previous version of the software, rather than try to fix whatever was wrong on the fly.

That's why we don't see any change at all - neither bug fixes nor the simple, expected, disappearance of maple leaves and notebooks.

However, it doesn't explain why the Rankings stopped working on those servers where they did work before.

Jesus, if they keep the leaves dropping, why didn't they keep the quests as well?
