Although there's no "Item gallery" in D1/D2/D3/D4, and instead it's only in the handheld versions.

100% to me is not Super Collecting everything (Unless its easy/fun to do and the game help you keep tabs on what you have collected and what not), but killing everyshit that moves and breathes (Mostly). I think opening access to the bonus areas and finish them would be at least decent for me to do i guess.

The insurrectionist of the game industry, huh? Also, I love the voice over guy they get for NIS videos. But I worry about NIS taking over the world since they obviously want everyone to own Disgaea 4.

Sarah Wrote::O?! The handhelds have an item gallery!? Essentially they have a "Record Keeper" in where it tells which items you've picked up in your game, so it at least gives you an incentive to "Collect 100% of items" if you wish to do so. Also they give you a list of how many times you've defeated the super bosses, such as Baal, Prinny Baal, Item General/King/God, etc. Also if you get the handheld versions, the DS version sucks ass. You're better off just sticking with the PSP versions.

I've mostly been doing Item World in low level garbage items (gum) just to see what it's all about but I decided to adventure into a level 44 sword and beat ten floors and when I came out the atk had raised to like +800 :|

Example is Trapezohedron in Disgaea 3. (3 non-ATK bills, 8 Gladiators) ATK: 361,314 (3 ATK bills, 8 Gladiators) ATK: 649,087 3 mere "ATK growth" bills renders a near 300k attack boost alone. The default attack on the upper stat is just from perfect leveling alone, and that's not taking into account max level innocents, which FURTHER increase said stat. A fully perfect'd character in D3 can get to about 53mil in their main stat.

Hell, just get a r0 Baal Axe and you instantly gain +30-50mil to all stats, although I don't think that's possible without having a dozen characters perfected out lol My Adell only has around 13.71mil ATK and 10.04mil SPD with perfect level'd items + Violence Evilty and nothing else. If I maxed out all the needed innocents, such as Fist Fighter, Guardian, Sprinter, etc, I could get to 99mil stats with a LoC Magichange without having my Apts even close to being capped.

As much as I love Disgaea gameplay, the thing I love the most out of the trailer are the animated cutins. It made me start working on making my own prinny hat ala Fuuka style.
Dark Link Wrote:Even a non-perfect character can hit 99,999,999 stats with a LoC Magichange. I have to eat my own words right here as well as toot my own horn in this post. After doing some mass duping in D3 tonight, I just realized how easy it is to hit the stat cap on 1 or 2 stats without even touching a magichange weapon. Upon getting a 500 Fist Fighter innocent and 256 Guardian innocent, my Adell's attack and speed jumped from 13.71mil ATK + 10.04mil SPD to 63.00mil ATK + 47.17mil SPD With the Violence Evility. When I added in 8 Cheerleaders with their +Stat buffs (Lovely Song + Brave Heart), Adell's stats jumped to 99.99mil ATK and 66.05mil SPD fully buffed. After seeing this tonight, they better increase the stat cap to 999mil or else getting max stats on a character is gonna be so freaking easy thanks to the 300 item level cap. EDIT: Disgaea 4 Trophy list has been translated. Seems to me, getting platinum in D4 will be a lot easier this time around than it was in D3, because D3 was too RNG based with the "Item World" Pirates.

What the heck is an item level limit? Every time I go through I run into that fortune teller and he either decreases or increases the item level limit but I have no idea what it even means.

Item Level is highlighted in the red box. ![]() This is how you level up items and make them more godlike. Level cap for items is 200 in Disgaea 3. You acquire item levels through these 4 methods Quote:1) Each floor you clear or skip counts as 1 level.

okay, so why is the DS version of Disgaea 1 crappy? because i don't have a PSP but i'd like to play it..
VirgilDiablo Wrote:okay, so why is the DS version of Disgaea 1 crappy? because i don't have a PSP but i'd like to play it.. DS version has more extra content than the PSP version, it's just the DS version traded off a lot of features in return, aka lack of voicing and steady framerate (Cap is around 30 FPS instead of a smooth 60). Of course if you don't mind the little tidbit stuff, then it hardly affects your decision to buy or not. |
