Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Hate going into solo queue and dealing with nonstop whiners and complainers. Had a Xin who would criticize what everyone was doing yet he was dying the most often and then when 20 minutes came it was non stop surrender request spam whenever he could. So annoying. We lost but it was a close fight when we scored two aces and pushed a lot. Oh well.
My God. Nearly ragequitted on the last Co-Op vs AI game.

I queued with 2 IRL friends and Purple. At first they were pineappleing around. But when it came to the point where we were getting aced every freaking time, I had to pretty much use caps lock and pretty much express my anger, warning them I would leave if this pomegranate goes on. Things got better. We started pushing them back bit by bit, and started picking apart bots who were wandering by themselves or in twos. We still lost teamfights, but we were able to fight back afterwards.

Took us lots of pushes and we finally pushed mid and took out the Nexus. 50 minute in a Co-Op vs AI game. Extremely unacceptable. And that's with people who know how to play LoL, but were simply f'ucking around.

To Purple: I know that I usually don't rage towards you and you're a good player to start, but when I play, I don't want any shenanigans going on. I hate wasting my effing time with people who screw around and results in lost games. That's just being disrespectful and inconsiderate towards others who are actually taking time out of their day to play (like me). Just throwing it out there. However, you were not alone. My friends were fooling around, and that was worse than your trolling.
This is why I still have some merit to actually try even when fooling around, because I know that feeling all too well.

 Spoiler

So things started out bad when our Vayne gave first blood and ragequit. Jungle Noct kept coming in and ganking us and the Xin was getting fed pretty bad early on. When team fights started we were able to win them thanks to their poor team coordination. They started raging at their Annie and when they got Baron we baited one of them and proceeded to ace them. Nice match for a 4v5 from the start.

Also lol at "Annie can't 2v1." I was Annie while our jungler did his thing and I was laning against Amumu and Nasus. Managed to hold the lane and get a few kills with my nuking combo Wink we won that game, too.

On an unrelated note, Orianna looks badass. Do want.

S'hitstorm of bad games >_> mostly tower divers EVERY F'UCKING GAME.

Looks like a mage/support champ to me.
2 random pvp games

1st as Nidalee: BOY do I hate being in the top team (top team and top lane -> DSmile. For some reason I just don't get to see as much of my enemies as I do when I'm on the bottom team. So it's a lot harder to tell where to aim my Q. Their kennen mid vs our kennen on mid failed miserably for our kennen.

I managed to land a lot of good Qs that nuked their HP but it was never enough to kill pantheon/ akali. Team gave up in the end, but it was still a nice match.

2nd as Ryze: We had a fail tank amumu who was pretty much everywhere but where the battles were. So I ended up being picked off super easy during team fights. Went 4/10/11 because I got focused like hell. But almost each time they focused me, I'd snare one... that was my team's cue to focus the hell out of that person. We won team fights quite often like this with me as a snaring/mreduction (E) sacrifice. All cause our amumu was nowhere for the most part T.T

Other team gave up after we picked off 4 people and pushed towards the 1st inhib.

It's due to the way the camera is angled. Players on the purple team are at a disadvantage cause to it.
 Video explaining it
I have now made a believer out of WillDaSnail. Soraka can solo Baron with a build not too far from normal games. Living in the danger zone like a pro, with nothing but heals to keep me alive and DPSing xD And R healed me for more HP than my maximum.

(Admittedly I KS'd a lot to get my gear, lol)

Yeah idk why they dont change it. I try to avoid playing skill shot champions when im on purple because half the time i cant even see what im aiming at.

@Pineapple, you have to be in a game to access stuff like graphics settings im afraid :<

Saw that with my very own eyes. Damn Trolloraka. Rolleyes

 Another nom nom nom moment

We had a Nunu jungler, so I decided to go solo top. Kennen and Yi were against me. In the first 5 minutes, I decided to see how they would respond. Targeted Yi first, and used Rupture + Feral Scream + Ignite. I had low HP as a result, so I went back to my tower. Suprisingly enough, Yi takes the bait, ran towards me....and straight towards my tower. First blood. Don't know what he was god damn thinking in the first place when he tries to instagib me like that.

I managed to kill one of them at top a few minutes later, but I overextended and got killed myself. Kind of mad for myself at doing so, but me and the jungle Nunu managed to push the top lane back, and we took out the top tower. Then I started roaming around

Long story short, I had a great game with Cho. Did a lot of Feasting on as many out-of-position squishies (using my full skill cycle: Rupture + Feral Scream + Ignite [if available] + Feast) and low-HP enemy champs as possible (at least 3 kills - possibly more - were a direct result from Feasting). I pretty much got a bit fed to the point that I was huge, with lots of HP and armor, and seemingly, couldn't be taken down. At one point, I was ganked in a 2v1 situation, but escaped since I was bulked up to the point I could shrug off any damage and continue on.

The other team eventually surrendered after we took out quite a few of them near their base.
I tried Kennen yesterday and I'm in love... 10/0 and 22 min surrender first game. 16/6 loss second game but that was cause the team wouldn't listen to me. You can carry bad players but you can't carry bad players that don't listen Sad
Ok so I am seeing a ton of names that I do not have on my blist right now. So to you newcomers that want someone to queue up with for some wins then by all means add me.

Main=Duelpower
Secondary smurf account= aToasterStrudel

I have all the old timers from SP on my list just not the semi-new and new people to the group.

So... basically you try to avoid playing skill shot champions all the time when you're playing normals. There's no way to know if you're on blue or purple before the game starts.

Matt Marcou's statement on the qualifier tournament predicament
I have my own comments, but I don't have time for them now.

EDIT: NESL was having a close watch on all the qualifier tourney players, and they caught wind of talks that EG will throw the game for TSM. They proceeded to alert Riot Games and Matt Marcou, then shyt started happening. Then a decision was made.

Basically, Matt's betting on CLG (or some other top rated team) to wipe out EG, or at the very least, have the least amount of brackets affected by this so-called game throwing collusion when they might face TSM. I'd say that's not a bad bet to wager. However, if EG does end up facing TSM, the visibility will be MUCH greater. Had the brackets been left as was, the game throwing thing would have a much higher chance of happening.

Yeah you can. Above your team in champ select it says 'Your Team' in either Blue or Purple thus telling you what side you're on.

I usually Amumu when im on Purple (which is kind of ironic cos he has a skill shot) but i find him much easier than i would to play lux for example.

The move / change Riot did is very unprofessional and it actually makes matters worse. If they didn't touch the brackets, the "RUMORED" game-throwing would be minimal compared to how the brackets are set up now. Basically if EG and TSM win all their games to the finals, EG can still "throw" the game to TSM. The only problem this time around is all the rest of the teams have already been defeated, where as if the change didn't happen, there'd still be 3 other teams that would have a shot at the finals.

Err, I believe it's a double elimination thing, so EG could still make it to the finals even if they threw the first match. The difference being, that they'd then be going up against "weaker" teams, while giving TSM an early lead. The idea was that if they left them in the same bracket, it would give an unfair advantage to both teams, whereas if they switch brackets, EG will have harder matches against "stronger" teams and TSM will still have to fight almost the same rotation as they would have in the first place, just without the risk of running into EG until the finals, assuming they both make it there. In that scenario, it doesn't really matter who gets first or second, they'll have both proven they deserve to be there, and thus there wouldn't be any need to throw anything since it's just qualifiers. Now if the problem is still an issue in the actual finals, perhaps something will need to be done, but for now it's all speculation that's been going on.

As for my own perspective on things, I dislike changing up tourney match ups, but it happens, in this case, I think Riot did the only thing they could do based on the information provided them. Had one of their employees overheard them or otherwise noticed a planned wrongdoing, they could have taken more serious measures, but as it is, there's just some uncertainty, and they wanted to mitigate the possible outcomes of that uncertainty. Which imo, is what professionals do Dark Link. It's not a popular decision, but I think it's the right one given the current circumstances. If some new info comes out, something else changes, then perhaps it wasn't the right one, but for now, I think it's the only reasonable, and professional, way to deal without doing some far more drastic, and even more unpopular things.
