One of the biggest disappointments of 2011

The main character of Neon Genesis Evangelion is not the red headed pilot, its just some dumb emo kid.


Maybe if I skip to the last episode...

Something that becomes hard to ignore is that the show often dives pretty far into the "creep" zone. That is, being creepy just for the sake of being creepy.

On the other hand, it is almost a requirement for most robot pilots to have some sort of mental issue(s) to work through, so I kind of have to give the show a pass. And besides that, Asukas performance during the final battle in "The End of Evangelion" I think pretty much single-handedly redeems the entire series.

That's actually the entire point of NGE. It's supposed to screw with your brain for no reason.
