Black and White recent happenings thread!

When I went to fetch my Vaporeon last night the system said I didn't qualify for the promotion (as in, I hadn't won one) even though I did on the first night. Sent a ticket and they're looking into it for me. I sent the ticket at about 9:30 PM EST and they've already responded.

Got the same thing, going to send a ticket myself.

Got my Glaceon around 12pm yesterday. No problems. Hope you all get a positive response on the tickets :/

@guy hatching eggs: I hope you carry someone with flame body [litwicks are nice, the thing that evolve into chadelure]. They cut your steps by half so it only takes like 3~4 min on bike in route 3 to hatch.

EV Training my Espeon is going well. Lost count on Speed but I will either end up 4 pts short or 3 ahead. Think I lost count on Sp. Att. as well. This is such a boring process without Pokerus. I would be done with Speed with it, but only am halfway.

It's usually easier if you count the # of PP, assuming your espeon can 1hko. Or you can switch out everytime to something that can 1hko.

pokerus doesn't help nearly as much as the power items...

I finished from my botched counting, currently Espeon is level 51. Got Rash nature on try 1, don't care to waste hours getting good IVs as well. It has 194 Sp. Att. and 149 Speed. Espeon 1hko'd everything from about level 20-on. Was at Celestial Tower with Macho Brace (Don't have special subway thing for Sp. Att.). Speed was spent on level 5-20 Basculins with a Power Anklet making it go by faster, at least. Stuck it in E4 party and Exp. Share'd to 51. Trying to decide whether to do more Exp. Share or just go to Giant Chasm or something and grind a bit.

macho brace = x2 the EVs you normally get

Power items = +4 EV for the respective stat

pokerus = x2 the EVs you would get after everything else

Examples:

patrat + macho brace = +2 Attack EVs
patrat + macho brace + pokerus = +4 Attack EVs

patrat + power item (att) = +5 Attack EVs
patrat + power item (def) = +1 Attack EV, +4 Def EVs

patrat + power item (att) + pokerus = +10 Attack EVs
patrat + power item (def) + pokerus = +2 Attack EV, +8 Def EVs

@Above: Depending on your team, E4 is better exp if you got quite a few high levels that can sweep everything. Just give the sweepers lucky eggs so they can get some training done while you EXP share the others. Eventually the other ones will be high enough to sweep too. Overall it's much faster than grinding on Audinos

For sure. Was training a Larvesta, went from Lv34 to Lv65 after three E4 runs with just EXP Share leeching.

Remembered I forgot to take out a bunch of trainers on the last couple routes between Undella and Nimbasa. Gonna have Espeon kick their butts and then E4 leech.

Not fixed. Pokerus comes into effect after the EV gain from the Pokemon defeated and any items equipped are totalled.

Exactly. So whatever EVs you would normally get from killing a pokemon + whatever item you're wearing, take those EVs and multiply it by 2.

So killing a victini (+3HP) with power HP + pokerus = (+7) * 2 = +14 HP EVs per

I kind of don't want to find pokerus since if i'm EV training, i always go by # of PP i used, and if i get pokerus'd along the way, imma mess up (Unless they changed the way pokerus is notified. I know it shows up in your summary screen, but i think the only other way someone actually tells you is when go to a pokemon center and nurse joy says you got pokerus). Due to that, I always save before i EV train, go get 508 EVs and talk to the opelucid girl, check if i'm < 510, and then save. Then I use 2 wings for a stat I haven't EV trained in and see if she tells me I hit 510.

Tomorrow I shall spend all day getting a proper thundurus. Wish me luck. Also, how do you get a dream pal for DW? I think they have to be on your friend list first, then you can send them an invite?

I'm pretty sure it does, given all the pokemon I EV trained counted exactly as expected. (except those few times I zoned out and had to fix it)

Edit: On topic, I'd be happy to pass around pokerus to those who want it. The timer on it is frozen while the affected pokemon is box'd. Been using the same pokerus mules since 3rd gen >>

Are you sure the pokerus was active and not "cured" ?

Pretty much every single EV training guide i've read has said pokerus does what I've described. Even people's testimonies say that. I'm not saying you're wrong, just it seems unlikely as everyone else that has experienced it or tested it says the opposite.

So far for my thundurus, got my watchog to 39 so it can mean look + baton pass + repel for it. Got my golett so thundurus can't do anything so i can freely throw pokeballs at it Just gotta pray for nice ivs/nature.

Just master ball the thing. Not like there are other roamers.

I always use my Masterballs for SRing legends I want to use competitively.

Yeah, imma prolly end up master balling it. I just have a thing where I only want things in pokeballs.
