Yes @ last question. I think you really should replace Protect with Shadow Ball. Dual stab and a lot more coverage. I'm also iffy on Haze, but hey, if it works it works. Substitute may work better, though. I'm guessing either Life Orb or Focus Sash would be the best choices, everything else is rubbish (you did say you hated Scarf and Leftovers, so that's out). Heck, if you have trouble with Earthquake you may even try out Balloon.

scarf and leftovers are out because you can only have 1 of an item in subway and im already using them on the rest of my team

shadow ball is definitely something im considering for that slot, but im not going for guaranteeing she can outspeed all ghosts... plus fighting types are immune =[
i think i want to try her out on protect for a couple runs at least, see if i get good use out of it.

haze/clear smog is something i specifically wanted -- it breaks cursers or other setups that try to do that while ferrothorn leeches their hp. haze saves her from overheats in a pinch too, and nothing is immune.

balloon is a good suggestion, thanks! i need to see if overheat kills well enough on its own too. it should (@lifeorb).

Only problem I have when I bring chandelure is it isn't fast enough sometimes, and it's a little frail. Granted mine is built for special sweeping for coverage and wearing specs.

My reuinclus isn't built for subway, but it can be pretty bulky, has great defenses/HP, has a recovery move, and gets calm mind. Might be something to consider. You'll need white version though to get one.

Scarf heracross with moxie can be great too. Other things in the subway I get pissed off at are starmies since my team generally can't handle their traditional movesets + they're fast. Gyarados too, especially if i don't 1hko and it gets a DD in. Volcarona same thing if it gets a quiver dance in. Sometimes I wish just for that, I carried focus sash since I know I can 1hko them, it's just they're speedier due to their stat boosting moves so I always lose out, even with max speed EVs and +speed nature

currently in the middle of a 35 streak without any real problems
using focus sash right now, not liking it. everything uses earthquake anyways, think i might as well just pick up a ground immunity so i can make certain switchins without risk. i havent really been randoming many darks in this round.

I hate any item with the word "choice" in it . Farthest I got with Subway is 45 streak with Typhlosion, Swampert, and Braviary.

This game is trolling the hell out of me. Trying to breed a good Gligar, every single one with the 3 IVs I want maxed has had low special defense. And by low I mean 5 or less.. wtp

manectric swapped chandelure a choice scarf for the focus sash and then crit on thunder to 1hko chandelure because he was STILL faster. and ferrothorn cant take a heatwave.

I couldn't even get a 50 streak in 4th gen when the AI was stupid and never switched.

Picked it up today before work and owned at rotation battles. I still got it

^ AI still plays it like a 1v1 unless they get locked into an immunity or status move. they hardly ever switch, and im always surprised when they do (sometimes they seem to switch for no reason, but i usually only know ~2 of the opponents moves when they do...)

my record is 92, w/ haxorus/ferrothorn/jellicent. im still learning a few strategies i havent randomed into yet, especially now using chandelure instead of jellicent (some things go differently, mostly the same though).

ferrothorn is mostly immune to hax, unless he gets frozen for like 5+ turns against an ice beamer who hasnt been leech seeded. chandelure and jellicent are immune or strong to his weaknesses, so you can easily get free, safe switches if all you really need is to stall out the enemy's single supereffective move. leech seed support lets your team stay at high health for the next haxemon.

Currently I'm working on a subway team consisting of Excadrill, Altaria, and a bulky water (don't like Jellicent so maybe a Regenerator Slowbro). However, I'm having trouble getting the correct natures and IVs when breeding. This leads to a question for you guys. When you guys are breeding, would you settle for a beneficial nature with decent IVs or a perfect IV with a hindering nature?

Beneficial nature with at least 1 perfect IV for me. But I try to get at least 27+ for important stats at a minimum. Hindering natures will always bite you in the butt one day during an important battle.

Also, Milotic is a very good bulky water as well if you'd consider it.

When calculating stats, IVs are +X while natures are x1.1, x1.0, and x0.9. It kind of depends on the situation.

recently ive been settling for nothing less than 3 31's, beneficial nature, and strong useful stats when they matter
BUT i went out and caught dittos with 31s in each stat a long time ago (bit annoying to do, 10% find rate ftl) and have a full set of power items, so its really easy to breed in 31s. 2 of those dittos are jolly and adamant, making natures a bit easier too. i cant be bothered to shoot for 4-5 31s though. 3 can be annoying enough especially when youre breeding 10k eggstep doods.

the real secret is that i watch movies while riding back and forth with 5 eggs...

When I went to fetch my Vaporeon last night the system said I didn't qualify for the promotion (as in, I hadn't won one) even though I did on the first night. Sent a ticket and they're looking into it for me. I sent the ticket at about 9:30 PM EST and they've already responded.
