Is anyone else having a hard time with the dews on regular Adventurers?
Stereo Wrote:I think bowmen can't move as fast as warriors... full range rush really helps. Maybe ask that guy who did it as a crusader how long his dews took.

Is it possible the 2 sand bunnies have different droprates? I did it in 8 hours of 1x on my Paladin, at the male bunnies.

Not as fast? O.o We get passive max speed and inferno/blizzard does the job quite well maybe not as good as rush but not that bad either.

ETA: Maybe its just me or was due to cassandras's buff but it does look heavily nerfed from what I saw in gMST, I mean yes it was 2x but I got one in about an hour and a half, maybe it was pure luck but seeing how hard is for non-warriors makes me wonder.

I don't think that's it, I clear out the map fast and I always have to wait for them to respawn ;_;

I forfeited the quest and re-accepted it just in case. I also clicked the location in the quest menu and it seems to work properly now as it shows where they drop. It really varies on your luck I guess. Could find one in 5 hours, one in the moment you kill the first rabbit, or none at all for a long while. Still, this really take persistence. This took me a week with all that said. It can be really boring of course.

For the first set of wind orbs, I got pretty lucky. I found nine in one day, no joke. I hunted at poison poopas for them. 4x drop on there really seems to help. I used a 2x drop card along with a few of those 30 minute winter buffs. I found 1 in every 30 minutes on average.

Archers may not have a full ranged rush, but we do have ranged mob attacks that makes it really easy. I basically splash all the mobs with blizzard/AE and occasionally go idle with frostprey out. Poopas would be better for archers since it's better moving around there. You can AE/AR or inferno/blizzard clumped up mobs which makes it rain a lot of drops, especially with 4x drop.

I'm on a Dual Blader doing it. I found them much faster on my Paladin. It's slightly discouraging.

Vek Wrote:As for the usefulness of the archer skill, it is pretty bad right now. They're supposed to go to 750% and 6 mobs after chaos, but by then anyone who does this quest to completion could have already grinded (ground?) to 200.

That does sound kinda wrong. I probably could have phrased this better: The time saved in more-efficient training from using post-chaos wind piercing is less than the time it takes to fully master the skill. Anyone agree?

x_reminiscing Wrote:1. How long did it normally take for you to get one? Estimate?
2. Did you forfeit the original broken quest and reaccept it?

1. 4-5 hours for the first one. It wasn't really a linear rate-at best 2 an hour, at worst one in 8 hours. I hunt kinda derp-style: summon Phoenix then do something else (like post this reply!) I hunt at male bunnies if that matters to anyone.
2. I kept the old broken quest.

Miek Wrote:Wow does it really go to 750% for 6 mobs? O_O

Yup according to Spadow. Here's the link:

Exact same reason for me. Main reason I grinded Soul Driver to level 5 ASAP was cause of how long I'd have it pre-nerf and since it's better DPS than ACB, it'd help clear mobs faster overtime in the long run.

thanks Vek!

actually I didn't forfeit the quest, I still have the same one from before and I found dews 7 in 23 hours)

3 hours and 20 minutes hunting on 1x, only 1 dropped

Okay, after my first fail attempt of getting lunar dews I decided to restart the quest and tried hunting on male bunnies. My dews finally dropped but I've come to the conclusion that I am extremely unlucky (and that I absolute abhor the Maple Bday Cakes).

I gained ~10% at level 152, allowing me to level to 153. I currently have 4% exp at level 153 and I have a grand total of five lunar dews (I would have even more exp if I didn't have my little sister's characters leeching off me). I stacked multiple 2x drop cards and lucky winter buffs together just to be able to get that amount -__-..I'm willing to bet that I can at least get to 50% by the time I finish gathering all of my dews.

spent a total of 37 hours for 9 dews so far

ugh this is sooo dumb Sad lmao

I've had like 15 hours and no dews on my Hermit. It sucks. :/

Got the 20 damn Lunar Dews after a good number of hours invested. Now for Poison Poopas.

So i decided to get Flame Gear in hopes it will improve my LHC exp. Nessa didn't really want Wind Piercing, other than maybe lev 1 just for looks, but she joined me in the hunting <3. Here are the results so far.

Dews: took us about... 2 2hour events with cards, so 8hours total, 4 of those 4x drop and 4 2x. I think we had done some random 30 minute buffs before, which only got me 1 dew, and her nothing.

Since the dews are class specific, we tried a system which consisted in each of us taking a channel, and switching every 3 minutes to check for dews on each other's map. This worked pretty well. So well, in fact, that 1 dew was wasted, because when i was only missing my last one, I came into her map and found 2 of them. We did this on 2 (M) Rabbit maps in different channels, rather than just switch between the (F) and (M) maps in a single channel, because since our first couple dews were from (M) Rabbits, and most of the screenshots I had seen were on that map, it would seem like somehow they have a better droprate than (F).

On to the orbs.

We started at Poison Poopas, because the spawn seemed much better than the Ultra Gray spawn, both at Kulan Field V and the Hidden Street map. Nessa got 3 or 4 dews on 1x drop and relatively fast. In all this time, I didn't get any, and then got one at Ultra Grays. We then hunted for the Aussie 4hour 2x event, with 2x cards and Lucky Winters. Nessa finished her orbs in less than 2 hours, while it took me the full 4 hours to get 9, and got the last one later on a Family Buff.

For the 2nd Aussie 4hour event, we headed to Cube Slimes (again, with cards and Winters). After not getting any orbs in 30 minutes, we moved to Blue Serpents. Nessa got all 10 in less than 2 hours, and it took me a bit longer, maybe 2 and a half hours. Then we went to Pandas for the 3rd set, and after no orbs in 30 minutes, moved to Mutaes. We shared the map, and Nessa got all 10 orbs within 30 minutes. I only got 7.

For yesterday's 2hour 2x event, Nessa started hunting Bone Fish, while i finished getting my 3rd set of orbs. I joined her at Bone Fish about 45 minutes into the event. She finished within the 2 hours of the event, and I ended up with 6 orbs (This was also with card and Winters).

Either she's extremely lucky, and I'm very unlucky, or the items' droprate among classes vary, making it harder for some jobs than others. This could explain why even after the quests were fixed, warriors seem to get everything faster than other people.

inb4 Nexon increased the droprate, because they saw people peaching up a storm about how they spent a gazillion hours just for one set. Regardless, I call it "Extreme Luck", pretty much similar to mine when I did the quest chain.

I would say she's extremely lucky. I did the quest on my bowmaster as well and finally got level 1 wind piercing a few days ago. I had to hunt poison poopas for over 5 days just to get it. I wasn't on 4x+ drop like she was, but I was still on 2x drop at least.

So as a TB about to make a UA you're telling me I have to do these stupid quests every 10 levels on my shark wave to max it? Wow. Why bother making a UA that's not even fair.

No. UAs get the skills that level on their own.
