A Southperry Choose Your Own Adventure! [Story/Game]

It was also a tough choice for me. On the one hand, a weapon left behind tends to end up in the hands of bad people. On the other hand, it seems to have been deliberately left behind since the murderer obviously have been using it. With that in mind, I think it's better not to pick it up and fall into some trap.
I thought the same, but what if the killer comes back and you don't have anything but books to defend yourself with?

B) Heads toward the dripping, taking the knife with him.
The knife can be useful, not only for defense, but as a tool itself.

D. Might be an entrance/exit to this...'area'. For all I know, the rocks could lead down into a deeper hole. But, it can't hurt to look for an exit. Taking the knife (after hopefully cleaning it of blood somehow) could prove useful if he meets another, more hostile person on his adventures.

What if the rocks are falling from above? Maybe he's on the lowest floor. Heading to the rocks may be dangerous, more than Kyle alludes to.

The greatest weapon is the human mind itself.

A. We already have quite a few potential weapons with us so we should be fine without the knife.

Your already soaked in blood, it would be easy to be mistaken as the killer/ maniac with or without the knife. But with the knife at least you will be able to poke people if they get too close.

B. Don't leave the knife. Bad idea. We can always convince our missing companion later.

B.

No sense in leaving behind a valuable tool/weapon.

B too. Just put the knife in your pocket or something, you don't have to walk with it in your hand ready to kill like a psycho.

. . . heads toward the dripping, leaving the knife behind.

The knife stares back at the man, its blade covered in fresh blood. Every part of him wants to reach out and make the blade his own, but something doesn't feel right about taking it. An unexplainable feeling. Foreboding. The curious placement of the blade, as if left for him... Pushing the last of his energy into his legs, he runs toward the dripping, eager to be far away from the knife.

As the man runs, the dripping quickly grows louder. Louder and different. Now the sound isn't just dripping--it's running water. Like the liquid from his bottle, the sound of water gives him strength. He explores the area with his flashlight and finds several small pools of water. The water is coming down from way above, much higher than he can see with his light. Water from darkness. The sound of running water is powerful now. He rushes ahead, up the first sloped surface he's come across, positive that something amazing is close.

And what he finds is beautiful...and terrifying.

Before his eyes, surrounded by incredible shimmering crystals and a massive waterfall, is the woman. His companion... Kneeling on top of another person. Stabbing him over and over. The man's flashlight catches her eyes, startling her and snapping her gaze directly onto him. Her eyes are different, causing a shiver to run down his spine.

"Wha--" he tries to ask, frozen in place.

She hops off of the body, grins at the man and runs into the crystal cavern guided by the river. With only seconds to react, he . . .

---

A) Chases after the woman.
B) Allows her to get away.
Surprised the last one was so torn. Surprised leaving the knife won, despite so many people wanting to take it. Remember if you come to regret it later it's not my fault!

Chapter 2 is gonna be starting soon. Maybe next entry.

Let's try another first to seven for this one! Only two choices, and it's a biggie.

B) Allows her get away.

Chasing her is the obvious choice, but I want to see where this goes...

I was going to say chase after her but not if she is in the mood to get all stabby. Maybe try to give the other guy first aid or something?

A) If she decided not to kill you when you were with her, it means she will maybe let you live because... she loves you?

She didn't kill us before, when we were easily open in our sleep, so let's press our luck.
also, there sure does seem to be a lot of fresh, stabbable people down here
