Anniversary Coins Issue Resolution

Dear Maplers,

Last week we had an issue with 6th Anniversary coins where exploiters were able to illegally generate thousands of coins to use to flood the market with exploited Anniversary items. Those responsible have been banned from the game along with illegitimate Anniversary coins and any mesos gained by selling illegitimate Anniversary items.

In regards to Chaos Scrolls that other users obtained, unfortunately, there were still too many illegitimate Chaos Scrolls in the game. We will not ban players that kept the scrolls in question but some accounts have had their Chaos Scrolls removed. We understand many players bought the scrolls with mesos not knowing the items were exploited, but we need to emphasize that many of the scrolls existing in game were never meant to be there. We sincerely apologize for legitimate players who are affected by this. We are doing our best to not impact our players negatively.

All players that abused this exploit will be banned, however we understand that some players may have simply made a poor decision, so all players will be given until 5/15/2011 to voluntarily remove the exploited items from their accounts by selling them to an NPC for 0 mesos. If all exploited items are removed in time, you will not be banned

So they were bluffing...not a good sign when it comes to future exploiters/hackers.

Notice how they say the ones who abused the exploit? Meaning the hackers who did it and not just those who bought up a bunch of scrolls.

They basically didnt ban those who bought a crap load of chaos. They just removed them. I wish they did this for my friend during the first chaos exploit She only had 5 chaos in her inventory and she got perma ban at 198..

Tossed all 40 of my legitimately gained pinks due to leaving them on my valued main account which I wasn't interested in taking chances with. Good to know I just dropped 600m for no reason now, online friend still has 94 knowingly exploited pinks. Allegedly chaoses were safe if stowed away in the warehouse.

I have a lvl 30 mule and it went up 5k in rank. I think nexon knows to check low lvl characters below 70 for scrolls. Those are usually the account that get banned the most

No they didn't. What they said can be taken literally as they banned all the exploiters who did it, but legits who bought the exploited scrolls were not banned.
